Put this together to be my personal gaming machine and I'm stoked so far with everything.
Needed a powerful CPU for some of the games I play (Arma and EFT to name a couple) and boy does the 8700k smash anything you throw at it. Unfortunately couldn't afford a 1080ti but I'm surprisingly really happy with the 1070ti. Because it's basically an under clocked 1080 it runs at 60c under load allowing for either silent operation or a decent overclock depending on what game I'm playing. If you're not going for 4k or VR I think the 1070ti is better value for most gamer's needs, I'm getting 100fps in PUBG with 1440p and ultra settings.
This is only the 3rd build I've done but I have to say I feel like ANYONE can make a fantastic build in the R6 Define, it is a fantastic case for beginner and advanced builders alike. I highly recommend this case if the price is right for you. Also if you don't have an m.2 SSD yet you're missing out, whilst its not going to give you more FPS it just makes everything else work so fast and smooth its like going from IDE to SATA or HD to SSD all over again.
Once Volta's 1080ti equivalent comes out I'm planning to upgrade and get something like the kraken g12 along with mounting the card vertically to show off a corsair AIO on the GPU.
Quiet mode is completely inaudible in my case while keeping my OC 8700k at 75c under load.
65c under load with an OC, this card is great for anyone wanting a powerful but quiet build.
