Description

So I dipped my toe into PC building. Partly from curiosity, partly from gaming on a PS3 for too long... Micro Center: CPU, Memory, Power Supply Craigslist: Motherboard, Storage, Video Card, OS, WiFi adapter, Case Staples: SSD Personal: Storage, Optical Drive

Edit: I got in some interior shots, by popular request. There isn't a space behind everything for easy cable management, but I minded the clutter where possible. The Gigabyte board glows orange.

I was fortunate enough to get a cheap computer with a 500GB hard drive, Windows 7, and Office 2007 (so .docx, etc.), though that means it requires a specific drive boot. That results in a lack of concurrent work and gaming, therefore not maximizing the RAM usage. Oh well.

Last time I was one of these presario cases, I was destroying it to get metal for my custom case build. Very wise use of your money though, I like this build a lot. 770s are some of the best budget cards to get at the moment.

It means having your build selected to appear on the main page of PCPP. It's often very expensive hardware with hardline tubing, but budget and midrange builds get featured from time to time. When people start asking for it in the comments, it's usually a good sign.
