Description

This is my first pc build and I love white pc's and setups so I went out and made one.

CPU I choose the i5 6600k because all I am planning on doing is playing games at 1440p right now(until I get a 4k monitor). I reason I did not get an i7 6700k was mainly it was not within my budget so I got the "k" version to kind of boost up the capabilities of this cpu.

CPU Cooler Planning on doing some overclocking, not much else to say.

Motherboard It Z170-A fit right into my build with its color scheme and the price point also it has nice extra features.

Memory Its always nice to have that 16 gb of ram nowadays because especially with new games they utilize 16 gb a lot. And of course, the colors matched.

Storage Good to have an SSD at this price point and even better to have a 2 tb sshd for quick mass storage so I can download lots and lots of games.

Video Card When I first laid eyes on this beauty, I knew I needed one of these for myself. It is perfect for almost anything and at 1440p, this baby can handle anything I throw at it and manage to run everything at over 60fps (except for GTAV but that is due to a cpu bottleneck but I am at 50fps max settings).

Case I was originally planning on using a white s340 but it was was out of stock so this was a close second.

Power Supply Fully Modular and 650W is plenty for this build.

OS I opted to buy the full priced Window 10 key because this is my first build and I did not want to mess up during windows installation but next time I will go for a software swap one for cheaper.

So at the end of the day I thought I broke my mother board about 30 times. I hit the motherboard with the blade of a knife on accident trying to unbend a usb 3.0 pin (couldn't fix the pin but the usd port still works somehow perfectly fine), I have dropped a screwdriver from about 1 foot above the mother board on it (don't ask why), and multiple other things but in the ends the build turned out great and I am loving every second of using it.

All temperatures are recorded from running 3D Mark Ultra at their highest points.

It's an Azzor of some insane sort. (I think, but it could also be what HyperYveltal said.)

Hey, great build overall! +1 How do you feel about the P400 and H60? You didn't really mention much about them and I was just wondering if you would be able to recommend them to other PC Builders!

I would highly both the P400 and the H60 cooler. The case is very clean and it offers very good cable management with the psu shroud and the storage devices all hidden behind there. There are rubber grommets running all up and down the case for cable management. The front panel all you have to do to remove it is just pull with some force and it comes right off. Also, theyre is thumbscres for every screw on the outside of the case the side panels and the pci slots even. The filter on the top is magneting and there is one for the psu and 2 more in the fron panel. The cooler is very good for the price and size. At full load at a 25% overclock, the H60 keeps my i5 at a very cool 41 degrees Celsius maximum during a Firestrike Ultra test and while playing The Witcher 3 maxed out completely with Hairworks turned on(above 60fps mind you) my cpu runs at about 34 degrees. Both of these products are very good and I would them recommend for anyone

Also another thing to mention about the H60 cooler, It was very easy to setup and I recommend having the motherboard already installed into the case before installing the cooler. I did it the opposite way and It made things a tiny bit tricky trying to handle the mobo with the radiator attached to it.

Holy **** dude i had the same build in mind i just bought the p400 and i was still thinking of getting an i7 or i5, and since amd has anounced the rx480 im stuck between the 1070 or that. My price range allows me to get a i7 and rx480 or 1070with i5. Your suggestion will be appreciated

All depends what resolution you want to play at want you want to do with your build. I imagine the 1070 will perform right smack in the middle of the 1080 and 480 so if you want to prioritize games then I would recommend the 1070 with the i5. If you want to do CAD work or video editing a lot, then I would recommend the i7 with the 480.

Please tell us about the time you discovered that the geometric design forms of the Founders Edition and the Eclipse P400 match just perfectly! I'm excited to hear! : 3

I think the two look amazing together and there is a lot of extra room between the end of the 1080 and the front panel of the case. The green LED. Surprising goes very well with my setup it is a good kind of eyesore and the contrast looks very good.

I'd recommend you get some clear cable combs. They'll make your cables look so much nicer.

I have not scratched the case yet and I have been taking it off and putting it back on almost daily (idk why and it is prob not a good idea) and no problems not even a smudge as far I can tell.
