Description

I built this rig about 6 months ago but in a Fractal R4 case, I ended up changing the case to this NZXT H440 because I like its looks better, and accidentally ripped out the part of its front I/O panel when moving it. I ve added my setup with monitor and headset. I like this case better its actually more quite (using two of the R4 fans as exhaust) but, does run hotter. I will be adding a H100i cooler in the future. I mostly game first person shooters and stream movies/TV shows from it with plex. Photos in full resolution http://csauls88.imgur.com/all/

I present to you, the new NZXT Windforce GTX 770. Fabulous job on the cable management and color scheme but that red SATA cable though... I think you can put some effort onto the CPU Cooler mount, it's slanted.

Thanks! the red sata was left over from my last build and used it so I could remember which was my ssd lol its being replaced with a black and white one. I slanted the 212 slightly to go more directly to the exhaust.

Love how you put the Corsair case badge on your Hyper 212, and the NZXT case badge on the Gigabyte logo :) +1 for beautiful build

Loving this build but I think you could do some work on the prices or ratings, need to know what you think of your build besides the gaming computer claim.

I updated the Prices, description and added a pic of my "battle station"

Really nice build. I appreciate the pictures, but the description is lacking. More importantly, you left out all the prices and ratings. Would you mind adding all that in? Anyways, +1 and once again, nice build!

I read slot 1 and 4 were the best for 2x8GB sticks. Is slot 1 and 3 best? thanks for the info!

  • 3 points

No, no matter what if you are using 2 sticks you should always put them in the slots of the same colour, in odd number slots only, or in even number slots only. So in this case (pun intended XD), put them in slots 1 and 3 or 2 and 4. Btw, great build here, it looks real nice and the part choices are really solid at that price point. +1

The PSU is not see able with this case is it? Also the picture where it shows the back of your case(where you show cable management), is your PSU to the right of where all those cables are?

Yeah its on the bottom right of the case. Its hidden behind the LED NZXT logo and another panel on the back kinda like a cage.

Did you buy the Corsair white cables or just the PCI/motherboard ones? I'm trying something similar and 90 bucks for all white cables is killin' my budget.

Very nice management.

Just the motherboard and PCI ones

Wow I love the way that case looks. Excellent choice of GPU, I was thinking of getting a 4GB GTX 770 for my next build. There's a ton of people lately using the 212 EVO, and it's a nice cooler. Awesome, though, if you're getting a H100i. Do you plan on OC'ing? Overall, great build. +1

Thanks! Yeah right now im overclocked to 4.5 with the 212 EVO but my temps can get in the 90c's when running Prime95 for awhile. I had a Fractal R4 case before and my temps were around 80 max with same OC. So my case limits the cooling, the 212 EVO is an amazing cooler especially for the value!

I'm surprised by the OC that you got with the 212 EVO. Also, I forgot to compliment your immaculate cable management and sleeving. ;D

Thanks :D and yeah I tried to save money with the EVO and originally wasnt gonna OC but it stays around 70-75c max with normal use.
