Description

I built this this week, never had time to focus too much on it. (I work 9 hours every day) Im really proud of the system, the only thing missing is my gtx 980 ti, im using the 680 for now for said reason. I hand picked everything my self, ive always wanted a red and black themed pcm this is also the second system ive ever built for my self.

Did the case come with the led's or did you have to buy those seperate? I am planning on getting this case to build in. Nice Build btw!

The case comes with LED on the outside, but for the inside you have to get that separately.

how's Windows 10?

I have it on a test system, but I haven't played around with it as much as I'd like to...

WIndows 10 is the best version of windows since windows xp.

  • 1 point

what makes it the best? I've heard it's supposed to be faster, with better (console) gaming integration, better searching and a better web browser, so that holds up, then?

  • 1 point

For one, i gained about 2-10 fps on most games, compared to windows 8.1, the start menu is back, it looks great, web browser's safer and faster than internet explorer, the mobile apps are better integrated now. dx12, just overall performance is better. Also bug free so far.

not bad, I may just upgrade!

It's a great OS! Very fast and efficient.

However, expect a few issues since it's still extremely new.

Completely agreed, I love how easy everything is to do now. 8.1 felt like you had to do so much just to get to the Settings and other things. It felt like a chore to navigate the start menu. The Task View is wonderful. Pulling up another "desktop" makes organization so easy if you are doing a lot of tasks. And Cortana is wonderful, Dr. Halsey would be oh so very proud!! +1 for an amazing build and I love the few photos you have. Add more!!!

I don;'t see the point of a RAM cooler but yours is pretty damned cool. Compliments your liquid cooler too =D Which company is it from?

  • 2 points

I agree with you to an extent,i too was debating whether to get it or not, but like you said, it complements my build, and i still hadm oney left over. So it was a "what the heck why not" kind of decision/moment. Turned out pretty great.

Its corsair vengeance or something, its a fan cooler for the vengeance series or any series really. Google ram coolers and it should come up.

It was fairly easy, till i realised all the fans i got take different connectors. I got about 2 fan hubs at the back of the case, im still trying to figure out how to clean up the back for proper management.

Ive uploaded a couple of more internal pictures. My most favorite part about the newely uploaded pictures is the case logo i modified abit with a red sharpie. I was just bored and wanted to see what it would look like if i colored in all of it as red, then i only colored 4 letters and the cute little dot on the i, and it came out imo pretty awesome. I wish phantek would make that their logo's color scheme.

There will be more picture uploads soon, as i still havent added in my gtx 980 ti yet (coming in few days). I also havent finished fully cleaning out the back, i will be taking a before and after picture of the cleaned up back of the pc once i finished the cable management. :) Cheers!

The liquid cooler's pretty decent, i get 31 degrees on it with my arctic silver 5 uncured. Im running a push/pull config with 3 corsair sp120 quiets and the cooler's fan on top as pull. The cooler's fans are pretty loud.

  • 1 point

Have you OC'd yet, or just stock at those temps? The fans might be loud, but what about the pump? Is it ungodly loud or relatively quiet?

  • 2 points

ITs stock at 30 degrees, when i enable xmp it goes to 39 ish. IM not too happy about it, but im pretty sure when my thermal compound cures it should be a bit better. The fans are really loud, not annoyingly loud but its noticeable. The pump's really quiet, no noise there, just the fans.
