See if it's possible to put a bit of tension on those PCIe cables to pull those 970s up a little. Almost every build that I've seen that has the Strix GTX 970 suffers from card sag, from minimal to extreme.

I would be quick to label this a Corsair + Asus fanboy build but I seriously can't pick on anything because I can't see anything wrong with this build. Maybe the fact that there's no SSD or that the H75 is a little nerf for OCing the 4790K, but I'd feel bad. Nice rig +1

Throw an SSD in there and you've got yourself a stew.

Ha okay every seems to agree that a 1tb is unnecessary and after a little thought you are right it is im only going to put OS and some games and a few programs sooo 2 500gb then :) im kidding ill just go get a 500gb

Great job on the cable management, looks fantastic.

Just curious though, is the ring around the corsair logo on the h75 removable like on the h105?

Thanks

Ahhhh, that sucks. I was going to get one for the aesthetics reasons and paint it purple to match the rest of the build that I am upgrading, might have to save up a bit more and get something else ;(

Nice build man! Cudos to the dual 980s you have there you should water cool it and create your own loop..Ive heard the STRIX are great but sometimes people get the ones that are "defective" and runs a little hotter than the normal ones. And I think that PSU is in a dangerious point of the build..I guess its fine but you should get something like a 1000w just to be safe..and mostly most of the things in this list can be swapped out for better and more cost effecient ones...but its your money so your choice :D :D Overall 1+ to your build.

This looks very solid! I just think a SSD would have really rounded this out nicely. What kind of monitor are you using?

i know i finally had enough to get this took me a year but i got it that was something i compromised on but am in the process of saving up for 1tb Samsung evo or pro not sure which as for monitor none yet i have it hooked up to Samsung 120hz TV but i don't think it is actual 120hz it gives everything a very faint black outline when moving then when i stop its back to normal instantly

A 1TB SSD isn't really necessary. You normally never need more than 120GB since you're using for OS/programs.

Great build, nonetheless.

Honestly if I were you I would get a 500gb SSD if anything, but it is your decision. :]

Hello, I am here 5 years from the future. In 2019, the i7 9th gen a.k.a i7 9700k costs less than this 4790k

And the i7 has 8 cores.
