Description

I originally built this computer in 2013, but this past summer I put a lot of money and a lot of work in it. I'm so glad that I decided upon a GTX 1080 alongside the Acer Predator XB271HU 27" 165hz IPS panel. That monitor and GFX card combo is an absolute beast.

I'll be posting my new build soon, I'll be stripping this build and replacing the innards with some of my older parts. The stuff in this build will be going into my new Corsair 460x case, as well as a new Asrock Fatal1ty Z270 K6 mobo and I7-7700k. Cant wait! Needed to post this build before it is gone.

By the way, I absolutely recommend the Cryorig H7 to anyone looking for a good cooler. While gaming, I rarely ever see my CPU temp tip 50C and thats with it running 4.4GHZ, a nearly 1.0GHZ overclock from the base clock. It is awesome.

I couldn't find my exact CD drive so I picked one similar. It's really neat though, it reads and writes Blu Ray, DVDs, and CDs. It also has lightscribe so it's a pretty pricey one, luckily I got it free.

Wow-wee. You are speaking my computer colors here and I love seeing Haswell processors when I do see them. I hope its served you for sometime and I'm certain your Skylake i7 is an amazing experience and a pleasing upgrade. Thanks for sharing this before you depart with some of the parts. I also think your cables look well more managed in the SPEC-01 than how my Corsair SPEC-02 was.

Your setup looks great and I'll have to keep a lookout for your upgrade version. You have my one and my support.

Thank you so much for the kind response! I spent quite a long time managing the cables. What you don't see is a mess of cables stuffed in the bottom drive bay :D, I tried my best to hide it. I'm greatly looking forward to the upgrade, it should make quite the difference.

You are most welcome. Hey it's all good about the cables in bottom hard drive bay, it looks good regardless. I had to use mine too, but it was an odd angle. You did good. :)

I'm greatly looking forward to the upgrade, it should make quite the difference.

Oh I'm certain and will be a difference.

...Skylake i7...

Correction: Kaby Lake i7. Goodness, I cannot keep them straight sometimes.

Yo I've got the same case but it only has one red LED fan in the front. Cool build! +1

Thanks so much, man! I bought two extra Corsair AF120 red LED case fans, and put one more in the front and one in the back. They are pretty much the same as the one that comes with the case. Cheap too!

How are the headphones?

They are great! I would definitely recommend them. Try to find a refurbished pair like I did, will save you some good money and they should be just as good as a brand new pair.
