Description

Always had gigantor mid tower cases with so much extra space inside, decided to try a more compact mid tower build with the Phanteks P300 Case. I am very pleased with it.

Notes:

-Must take out hard drive cage for the Corsair RMX psu to fit in the closet

-EVGA powerlink will not fit in this setup

-Phanteks RGB Halo will not fit on top fan

-Originally wanted a i7 8700k, but was out of stock or price gouged

-DDR4 Ram prices are outrageous!

Hi John1988! Great build. Thinking about doing the same but wanted to ask, did you any trouble fitting the tubing for the radiator into the case?

If you really want an i7-8700K once it’s back in stock you are going to need to do a motherboard swap

Yeah let’s just say Intel screwed up a little

By not allowing Kaby Lake processors to fit on Z370 motherboards due to a redesign to the LGA 1151 socket

So only Coffee Lake CPUs and any CPU generations after that will fit

It should be called LGA 1151-2, But instead Intel decided to make it more confusing by just calling it LGA1151
