If you're gonna go all out, you might as well do it right...
The goal here was to see how over the top a purely gaming build could go. And boy did it go. Every part was picked with top speed or top class in mind, even before overclocking.
The 7700K was for the 5Ghz capability, not for the core count. This rig wasn't built with extreme rendering, autocad, multitasking, etc. in mind. The H115i keeps it at a comfortable 50-60C on normal load.
The Maximus IX Formula is a real beauty. The built in water block makes future watercooling a very tempting option, and it still overclocks just fine with the AIO.
The Vengeance RAM, once again, pretty sexy, along with the fact that it's very fast and there's more than enough for anything this rig will run.
Went with the 960 EVO cause I heard there wasn't much of a difference between it and the PRO in terms of general performance. Then I thought why not have two. Same story with the 850 EVO. Then the WD Black for mass storage.
ASUS Strix 1080 Ti, in my opinion best out right now. Big, bulky, beautiful, and stupid fast. Especially with a twin ;) Get 'em clocked to 2012 MHz.
Phanteks Enthoo Luxe Tempered Glass Edition. For one, Phanteks. That's reason enough. Easiest cable management EVAR seeing as it's a full tower with built in management points. Plenty of expansion room, and the huge window puts everything on full display.
EVGA Supernova 1000. With great power comes great... power. Them 1080 Tis don't run themselves. Platinum and fully modular were sought after features, obviously.
ASUS Blu-ray reader. Because reasons.
Phanteks PH-F140SP. Big and quiet. Used as intakes. Keeps everything nice and cool in the front areas.
Corsair ML140 Pro. Big and loud, flashy too. Companions to the H115i, pushes out all that hot air, because 1080 Ti.
Dell S2417DG. Can't heap enough praise onto this. 165 Hz, I mean c'mon. QHD, G-sync, everything a nerd could ask for. I want two more.
The rest of the peripherals I already had. Love you Corsair <3
Phanteks rgb strips cause RGB.
NZXT IU01 USB expansion. Best. Thing. Ever. BFF of the USB accessory.
