Description

As the title says, this is my first hexa-core build which i put together in the summer of 2017, both because i wanted to switch to Ryzen and because my old quad-core build had died on me shortly before.

It's very stable running on good old Win7 x64 and i'm quite happy with it - I don't plan on switching to Zen2 once it comes out as it stands because the R5 1600 is supposed to be quite OC'eable with third party cooling solutions from what i've read.

In December of 2018 after the crypto craze died down somewhat i decided on upgrading the GPU aswell, which was more than overdue imo.

As it stands i'm very satisfied with this build (just have to keep that active HDMI adapter juiced up at all times until i get a new monitor since 1st Gen Ryzen doesn't like dropped video signals at all) and it was well worth the money i spent on it.

There's a real possibility i might need to do another upcoming private build in 2019 for occupational purposes, and if i actually go through with it that one is surely going to be another Ryzen-based one aswell.

Hey man, that GPU is a beast when it comes to overclocking. My old 7850 took 1050 on the core, 1350 on the mem with only 85% power. Push it to the limit it should take it, but start slow of course. And yes, whenever your CPU starts to struggle you could easily slap in a $25 aircooler and bump up the clocks.

I never really bothered to OC it iirc, it's always a plus point if you want to resell it on ebay down the line once you upgrade anyways

Congrats on your new build. She looks great. The R5 1600 is definitely the sweet-spot in this Zen range and overall in processors. GPU prices is messing peoples plans up for now. Maybe there is a upside to this. Like next gen GPU for 2018 . This have been a great and not so great time for pc this year. But, As long as a person can still make a plan for a build ,then things is looking better already,

Please upgrade your GPU soon. It a good grapics card, but still can't perform higher then newer graphics cards. Just get a 1050ti,1060 or 1060ti. But overall great build!!!

Got myself a RX570 Nitro+ 4GB which was on sale, seems to be a solid card from what i could tell so far. Whereas the HD7850 was really struggling in some crowded/city levels in the new Tomb Raider this one rendered them without a hitch!

Nice build, currently Newegg has a evga 1060 6gb for $249, would be great in this build!
