Description

first time building, took me a good 6 hours (not counting having to go out and buy sata cables because the motherboard i bought didnt come with them for some reason despite the box/manual saying it would). i didnt encounter any problems besides the missing sata cables, except that the psu cords just werent long enough to be threaded through the side panel of my case, but im not bothered by that as the case has decent ventilation anyway.

Part Reviews

CPU

solid cpu, not top dog on the market but still more than relevent

Motherboard

the piece of trash didnt come with sata cables so im having to go out and buy some on my own. i wanted to say you get what you pay for but you dont even

Storage

its fast enough to not need an ssd with it unless ur sanic during ramadan

Video Card

10/10 it's okay - ign

Case

at first glance i thought this case was gonna be way bigger than i needed but at the end of the day the sides are sticking out from all the wires stuffed inside of it anyway. its a nice case tho that problem is just because of my poor wire management

Power Supply

its not awfully loud but the cords were not long enough to wrap through the side panel. gr8 box worth every penny at any rate

Monitor

real sharp picture on this bad boy, hopefully it doesnt give out on me soon like everyone says acers will

Keyboard

standard keyboard, function over form

Mouse

no other mouse feels right to me after using this for years so its all i know

Speakers

theyre pretty cute and they were cheap

Unless you bought your mobo open box or used all motherboards should at least include a sata cable, even the low end ones. Your case(not actual case) is really weird.

Also are you going to use up the rest of your space in your case for more drives? Gotta have somewhere to store those dank memes ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

mobo was new, and i know for a fact i didnt lose any parts but to make sure i looked high and low for them. they were just simply not included, but i bought one today for 10$ and everything is now up and running like a dream. this was my first build ever and to see the thing actually turn on and run properly is amazing, weird or not! and as things are im a bit tight on cash, i wanted to get an ssd but i think for now ill be alright with just that hdd

That GPU for that price is 11/10!

thanks i thought so! i read some people saying dodgy things about xfx but at that price i just couldnt help myself, and it is nowhere near disappointing so far

XFX makes has very acceptable cooler designs. The best though and the one that has the highest customer satisfaction is Sapphire's designs, as they are an AMD partner that only makes coolers for AMD GPUs, and does a very good job at it too.

yeah i read that before buying, but the xfx model was just such a steal!

buy a smaller case or bigger motherboard,it's just looks really wired,i thinking bigger it's better (that's what she said)if you buy a bigger board you can have duel gpu(or even more)and you only need to upgrade psu for more gpu if you buy bigger board.clean up the cable!!!

  • 1 point

what would i need dual gpu for? and yeah the case was bigger than i bargained for but i wanted to make sure everything would fit, i didnt want any hiccups as far as hardware goes. surely its smarter to have bought a case too big rather than one too small

  • 0 points

wow, don't be mad, duel gpu just make your pc better,i not saying you need to buy one,at least you don't need to sell the gpu when you upgrade ,just buy a same gpu again.and i mean micro atx motherboard it's not a good choice if you not going to have a tiny case!!!

  • 2 points

don't be mad but it would be very stupid to tear the whole thing apart just because the case was a bit too big for my mobo. it still functions properly and as you can see i have ample space for it so there's really no point lol

  • 1 point

is your choice i am not saying you need a bigger mobo,i am talking about if you buy a bigger one that will makes your pc looks a lot better.you win, imao.

Depending where you got the Mobo I'm sure you could've got a refund and basically get it for free if the box said it came with all the cables but didn't (especially if it's a refurbed mobo)

  • 2 points

it did say itd come with the cables but i was too eager to send it back and wait for another to arrive, im not too bothered by it now mistakes happen after all, and at the end of the day i got the thing up and running regardless :]

My friend this is a fully capable gaming rig, you went a bit past a simple MAME build. :)

Are you using any front ends? How do you have the MAME setup?

Me? Like reading? Never. However people using strange works out of context always tosses me off a bit. I have yet to see a meme in any of this build/post, or do you plan on making it in to one? Or is the only thing you look at on the internet YouTube memes?
