Description
I had a BLAST building this rig with my dad. My goal was to build a computer that was white black and silver, was semi-quiet, and could handle all my games 1440p at more than 45fps. Didn't really have any problems except the Azio L70 we originally bought died as soon as we got to the boot screen, so we had to go buy a new keyboard. But other than that, things went better than expected. :) Oh, and any name suggestions??? (Peppa Pig and TIE Fighter for scale)
Part Reviews
CPU
What can I say, it's an Intel quad core processor that is overclockable
CPU Cooler
Little bit of a pain to install, but it's cheap, runs quiet, and looks nice
Motherboard
Really love the way this motherboard looks. Fits my build nicely and the bios was easy to navigate through.
Memory
Didn't want anything flashy, just something to get the job done, so this fit perfect with my build....cheap too!
Storage
Was on sale. It was either this or Seagate and this was cheapest at the time. No problems so far!
Video Card
Got this monster for $275 with a rebate. Haven't had any problems yet, its quiet, and looks stylish. Though on the back of the box where it talks about what's in the box, it says "wantarry" instead of "warranty". Just would like to point that out...
Case
Really dig the look of this case. It's simple, has great cable management, and dust filters (especially important when you have cats)
Power Supply
Great power supply! Black cables, Japanese capacitors, and is semi-modular
Operating System
Love the feel of the new layout. No problems yet!
Monitor
$260 for a 25in, 1440p, IPS monitor!!! Of course it's amazing!
