Description

My first build. What do you guys think?

I will be updating this build with parts as I get newer ones.

I'm not really sure why I went for a white/black color scheme.

This pc is built for gaming and other things such as photoshop.

If you guys think of any way to improve on this, feel free to tell me in the comments

(I will be uploading quality photos later)<--That's hopefully happening soon lol

Edit: Welp, uh, now looking back in hindsight there are multiple things that I could've done to make this more white colored and better, but, unfortunately, it is already done. I will try to update parts with newer ones eventually and make it what I wanted it to be when I started out.

Revisions:

  1. Added a random TV and USB mouse+keyboard lying around.

  2. Got a Decent monitor, and a good keyboard and mouse. Also got a fan splitter so that both fans would work.

  3. I bought a 650-watt power supply from my friend for only $15, great deal because he didn't need it anymore.

Part Reviews

Storage

I haven't had any problems so uh 5 stars

Case

Very good case, I like the design and the airflow is very good. Building was a little bit cramped (because it's a smaller case), but cable management was great.

Operating System

It's Windows 10.

Wireless Network Adapter

Worked fine, so 5 stars.

Custom

Decent looking extension cables for a good price

a couple of things to note here:

  1. Radiator fans are perfectly good for use as case fans. There is no reason to swap them out, unless you don't like them.

  2. don't upgrade an 8700 to an 8700k, especially if you're just gaming and such. Hold the money and buy something significantly better a couple years from now. (ryzen 2nd gen, 10nm intel, etc. )

  3. On the note of upgrades, don't get an aio liquid cooler unless you're only after the aesthetic. Something like a be quiet! dark rock pro 4 will be cheaper, quieter, and just as cool (if not cooler) than a big aio, like an nzxt kraken x62 or h115i pro. Trust me, aio coolers can be loud af. Some other great looking and performing coolers that can beat aio coolers are the cryorig r1 (also comes in black) and the noctua nh-d15, which is horribly ugly out of the box, but the make a kit branded chromax that you can buy in a couple colors to make it look great.

Cool, I was thinking of originally getting this water cooler, but in the end had to cut some costs. Should I get it now? https://pcpartpicker.com/product/XzDJ7P/corsair-h100i-rgb-platinum-se-63-cfm-liquid-cpu-cooler-cw-9060041-ww

I know it's a year late :P but did you ever get that AiO? If so, how do you like it? I'm debating on whether or not to get one for myself.
