Description

I built it. Cool and good. Details coming later, hopefully.

P.S. I just really really like D.VA. (AKA I need help)

So whats this build for? Well, right now its sort-of a second computer. If I have a friend come over they use that one, and right now its sort-of just the "fun" computer. Right now i'm tied on whether to sell it or not. I'm saying "No! Don't sell it!" But my bank account is yelling, "Sell it!!!"

So this build sorta started off as me thinking "If I were to build a D.VA themed computer what would it look like?" So I took to MS Paint and created a rough sketch of what I thought it would look like. Then later I actually created a model on Minecraft to try and help figure out the bends. A large amount of the parts I already had lying around not being used, for instance, the cpu, mobo, and psu. Then one day I thought "Why the heck not?" and went and bought everything needed. I took my 1080 ti out of my regular build and put it into this one to make room for the 2080 Ti(Once the reviews come out, of course).

So the construction began with me painting the case pink, only to not like the shade of pink I painted it and to not find a good shade of pink anywhere in stores, so I ended up stripping all of the paint off and going online to find a shade that matches well (I used Rustoleum sweet pea).

For the cables I got them from Shakmods, I used their eBay page. You can send them a note when purchasing and can do any color combo. And as for the decals I got them all on eBay. The pump, radiator, compression fittings, and tubing are all from Primochill. The water blocks and special fittings are from EKWB.

I managed to get it to 4.9 Ghz at 1.35v,, but ended up dropping back to 4.8 at 1.30v just to keep it safe. Even after deliding the cpu I still found temeratures quite high, around 70-80C once the water is warm. Although that is still a huge improvement from before it was delided, It would sometimes go into the 90s before overclock. (As a side note my other 8700k system is running well under 65C at 5Ghz 1.31V). Im still not entirely sure why it runs so hot, but ive had temperature problems with this cpu in the past. As for the GPU im still working on that and will update when that's done.

That's actually a pretty interesting idea.

Spray paint and color laser printed vinyl! That will make the reservoir look like a Nano Cola can in no time!

I don't think you understand... I really really REALLY like d.va... That's why I'm gonna marry her once I use this computer to tear open a rift into her dimension. It's not as easy as it sounds, first I have to create a small link between our worlds by first BECOMING D.VA. And once that link is created I need a power source strong enough to power my computer to tear open that link larg enough for me to jump through.

Oh, but it doesn't end there. Once I get there I first have to win her over, and with this new TaeHyun guy in the picture it may be a little bit difficult, however she DID friend zone him. But even after that even if I win her over, I still must summon the powers of anime and fight the final boss... D.vas father(aka papa 76).

He wasn't worthy anyway. Did little to help her out and in the end she figured it out herself. You on the other hand are a true fan that shall LEAD HER TO NEW FRONTIERS

Nice build, but just warning you, I had that keyboard and the shift key broke on two separate boards. I don’t think I hit it heavy but try not to hit the shift key off center cus that’s what messed my keyboards up.

I've actually had that same keyboard for over a year and it's held up pretty well and I've loved it.

Pretty great. Yeah the 7700k is obsulete now with coffeelake CPUs like the i5-8600k being better than your i7, but for gaming this is solid and it looks beautiful. Maybe one day ill look into watercooling but im too lazy and poor atm.

Yea, the only reason I diddnt go with coffee lake is because I would've needed a z370 board and I already had a spare z270.

Hi, how did you do the underglow?

There was a small hole in the bottom for me to pull the wires through for an rgb strip. I had to take the individual wires off of the clip to feed them individually,. Because the whole clip diddnt fit itself.
