Description

Hi Again!

So after my first build, I immediatly wanted to build again .., guess I got hooked with the building virus, cause I really enjoyed it (except the cable management, guess experience will learn later on)

Anyway, a few notes before I was actually going to 'upgrade':

  • I loved the Obsidian 500d Case, but it was a 1) to big for me to be honest for on my desk, thats why I swapped it for a bit of a smaller case, which is the NZXT h500 with white, since I wanted a more colourful case (white absorbs the colors nicely), 2) I missed a full psu shroud, cause after swapping my psu cables (got some cablemod essentials white cables since a month now), I really lacked space to tuck away my cables (imo, but it can be me cause like said: bad cable management)

  • I got a bit autistic with my Kraken X52 ... I really looked awesome and nice esthetically (not sure if I spelled it right lol), but the fact it was kinda interrupting with the left dimm stick pushing it a bit to the right, it bothered me, though it didn't impact performance or whatever. But since I saw the Corsair post about the white diy build with the white LL120's and h100i SE, I felled in love with the AIO and the fans. Plus swapping the AIO was easier for RGB effects (sorry), now I dont need to bother about the CAM software.

  • Because I didnt want to get the h500i version (purely cause of the controller build in) but liked the led strips, I went for the corsair led expansion kit.

  • I also needed/wanted some desk lightning and some new speakers. Few months ago I discovered the Logitech g560 and I love them. Especially with the screen sampler (its not the best, but its fun). For music or gaming I don't really tested it out to the max yet, cause 10\100 volume is allready quite loud! The music I've listened on it, was just fine by me.

It's not really a new build or something, but it kinda felled like it to me. I'm more satisfied then my really first build, and that matters to me :).

Hope you enjoy it!

March 19.2019 : Swapped out the Corsair Vengeance Pro RGB 4x8gb. 3200mhz. for the new Corsair Dominator RGB 4x8gb. 3000mhz. ... Really love the looks of the Dominators! Especially the lighting is awesome! Unfortunately I can't edit the part list, since I can't find them :(.

Dear custom loop components manufacturers,

Make some white (heck, even other colored) radiators and fans.

Ha, I'm here stuck with a MacBook Air that can't even run CS GO in ok frames on the lowest settings possible

I want to, but my parents won't agree with me rn and I don't have money to buy my own one, so I'm stuck with my MacBook sadly :(, but I have put together parts that would work for 1440p gaming!

Those new fans and cooler are sexy AF. I now can do an all white build in the future.

Corsair even has white front panel connectors to swap with the most black original ones in cases

Very nice. Now to wait for a nice white mobo to be released.

Gonna take a while i guess. But tbh, i’m fine with the black mobo, makes the white aio stand Out a bit more :)

Icue software? Or what u mean?

  • 1 point

Yeah icue software. Don't you need a lighting node pro?

  • 1 point

not necessary, there 2 ways to control the RGB in iCUE (if i´m correct)

1) Lighting Node Pro (which I have in the attic just laying around)

2) Commander Pro with the lighting hub (which I have installed)

Overall great looking build, except that to match the white / black theme you were going for, I felt like you could've used the white version of the corsair vengeance rgb pro and gone for a white gigabyte rtf 2070 or 2080.

Where did you get those white cables

A dutch store, but these are made by Cablemod, and to be precise; the c-series essentials kit, which are only the cables you basically see (24atx, eps and pcie cables and some sata cables.)

Eps is CPU right?

NZXT Cases satisfy my OCD. Maybe you could’ve gone with the H700?

Nah the 500 is perfect for me :)

Beautiful setup. Can you tell me more about CAM software and fan controller in H500i case? I dont know if I should go with H500 or H500i. Is the software and controller really that bad?

I don’t have the I version, so can’t tell you something about it :(

All those Corsair components...in a non-corsair case. Lol hilarious.

I don’t really like any of their cases to be honest I like the meshify c the best

Was thinking about the meshify c aswell, really like that one!

Haha yh, cause that’s the only thing i dislike a bit about corsair, their cases especially considering there cable management for amateurs XD

There is a sort of reason yes ... cause I allready owned the Black ones ... maybe i’m gonna sell and swap them for whites, but I’m not in a rush atm :).

Thanks!
