Description

Ryzen 5 1600 with Noctua NH-C14S (Fan switched with Cromax black), OC to 4Ghz.

Cheap Display and GPU, to be replaced by 1440p high refresh rate gaming monitor with G-Sync and high end GPU (probably something like a GTX 1180 Ti when it releases later that year).

Phantecs P400TG in black/red with Noctua Chromax black (red) fans, RGB strip at the back of the desk and case RGB connected to the mainboard and controlled by Asus Aura.

Will post better quality pictures soon

How's your 1600 temperature when you OC to 4.0Ghz?

I will run a 3D Mark test on monday amd post the result, but iirc, it didn’t even get up to 70°C under full load.

After running into crash issues on Aida64 Stress Test, i reduced OC to 3.9Ghz. 1h Stress Test now stays at 68°C.

Thanks for the info! Seem 3.9-4.0 is the sweet spot for Ryzen chips, based on what I see from several forums.

3D Mark CPU gets up to 68°C and then steadies at 65°C, GPU Tests CPU Temp stays between 40°C and 60°C.

Great build ....some soft white lighting would had been nice to make the red accents stand out ...just a thought.

Thanks for the advice. For that reason (and to have some RGB fancyness) I have set the chipset heatsink LEDs to, I think, cyan, purple, green and yellow, breathing with the red case and desk LED strips. I try to have it shown on my new pictures, next week.

Great build man! I am about to build my first pc and I bought the same case and am also going for the red and black look. Just wondering how you like the case and if maybe I could get a pic of the cable management in the back side of the case??? Any tips on the cable management?

Thanks in advance!
