Description

This is an update of a build I just finished, or so I thought ...

I originally planned to use a 1080 in this and the Titan Xp was meant for an ambitious mITX build. But the power draw was a problem in that so the Titan needed a new home.

I must admit to being a Star Wars fan since seeing the first film (twice!) on cinema back in 1977. Around New Year I was planning a couple of builds and the 1080 Ti had skyrocketed to insane prices. This beauty, at least in my eyes, was cheaper than a 1080 Ti FTW3 so I splurged. Was worried about noise, but it's not as bad as I feared.

The Time Spy score is with everything at stock.

Hope you like it!

That is so awesome I’ve got a green build too. I love the Titan x, and really the build is just very clean and OP. I hope you enjoy it +1

So does this case even need fans at the top of the case? Im going to be using a 240mm rad but would also like to put a couple fans up top as well.

I don't know, yet :) I have some spare fans so I'll do a comparison between closed top, open top (with filter) and two fans.

I suppose two fans up top will be better when using an AIO. I've tested the concept on other cases with air-cooling and in that case the closed top was best.

I tried to mount the fans but it got tight if I wanted the tubes in the top. I prefer that, it's better for the pump. So I'll run it as is.

This is by far the best ryzen build i have seen yet, loved the components. Also total price is surprinsingly good. 10/10

How does that ram kit work for you? I'm looking to upgrade my current kit. I have a 8gb g skill Ripjaws but cannot get the 3200 speeds on the same crosshair vii as yours.

It work's well. I can OC it to 3400MHz without problems. Thinking about getting another set.

Also how do you like the clc 280 cooler? I am debating between that or corsair 280mm rgb one. Clc is cheaper though.

I like it but the software is crap. I run the fans from the CPU fan connectors with a fan curve in BIOS instead.
