Description

I have pretty much always used Mac, dabbled with PC for family and friends. I needed to run the programs packet tracers for my Cisco training, I ran parallels and VMware on my Mac to try and run it but just wasn’t that great. So, even though literally ANY PC with XP or higher can run Packet Tracer, I decided I wanted to build something “cooler” (to me) that can also play GTA 5 mods, Steam’s car mechanic game; and maybe counter strike.

I originally put everything in my online cart, the price was a tad high for what I want it for. So instead I slowly bought parts on deals and discounts. The only used part was the Crucial SSD. Everything else was purchased with the help of Reddit and lots of waiting (eh, like 2 weeks)

Sigh I know. It started with a cheaper build but then I liked other stuff more. So yeah, board will be replaced in time.

I did the same thing, ended up refreshing build 3 times until I had all high end stuff. Learned my lesson to get exactly what I wanted the first time!

Yeah totally man! It made pulling the trigger on 7700k that much harder but knew if I wanted this to last down the road, having the option to overclock when things become out dated I would like it, also it wasn't planned this way but hopefully the Z2XX series boards come down in price even more than they are since the 3XX series is "out"

Do you plan on upgrading your gpu in the future?

Not really, I know 1060 isn't the greatest but for what I'm running it does more than enough. GTA, iRacing (even VR), supposedly will even run new COD fairly well. I did build the rest so that if I do want to go to a 1080 or something down the road in a year or two I wouldn't be screwed from the rest of the parts

These Thermaltake cases are so sick... Seriously considering one for my first build. What are your temps looking like in it?

I love it, great space and obviously the glass isn't on but lets you display how you want. TONS of configuration setups. I'll get more accruate temps and post them up

I really want one but they cost like 2500 for a puppy where I am.

Yeah they're not cheap - the older one in the picture was a rescue from a shelter near by. And then the puppy was actually a rescue too from another state - the shiba parents were surrendered the night before and the next day the mother had puppies, our friend ran a Dane shelter over in that state but knew other local shelters, one being the one having shiba puppies, so we got first pick and we got her once she was old enough! So both rescues, both under a couple hundred bucks each with some luck and patience. Which luckily the girlfriend has the patience.

Thats cool that there not from a dog breeder and where a rescue.
