Description

Sorry for the potato quality pictures. I didn't have my main camera in time for the client i was building this computer for, so i had to use my phone.

This build was for a friend who wanted to play games but didnt want to spend a whole lot on future upgrades. I convinced him to not get a gaming laptop for 2000, but rather let me build him a much more powerful rig for less. In total, the build was about 1500$ tax in.

I know a lot of you dont like reading a big wall of text, so ill be brief with what i thought about the parts.

Case: i was slightly concerned with the price tag (35 bucks) but went ahead to try it out. Was VERY satisfied. The internals were superb and is simply the most solid out of any other case in the price range. Only issue is that there is no cutout for the CPU powersupply cable. You may have difficulty routing it behind the motherboard; i had little to no difficulty with this issue.

Power supply i got was decent. Does the job. the cables are lengthy enough for the job.

NOTE: I got the powersupply for 30$ during an amazon price error.

As for the giveaway, post a comment stating what part you need to upgrade the most ON YOUR COMPUTER. You guys are deciding who gets the price (humblebundle keys :3):the three highest rated comments (about the upgrade) by the end of tomorrow at 12PM will be given an Insurgency (steam key, i think its a really fun game IMO :) )

Also, the fastest to guess where the build name is from will get a couple of random keys for a steam game :)

May the even ever be in your favor~

My next upgrade is definitely going to be my PSU; I'm trying to get a more stable supply of power to my CPU so that I can overclock a little more reliably, and graduate my current PSU to ANOTHER PC I'm also building, lol.

right when I saw the picture with the cpu cooler in it, I didn't even have to scroll down to see it was a Zalman. They make such strange, yet cool looking cpu coolers...

As for the upgrade I'd say you should upgrade the cpu cooler first

Yeah, but I don't think that Mincading is going to do any overclocking with that motherboard. On the other hand I do agree, because I think that it is ugly, but thats my opinion

It's stating what YOU plan on upgrading (for your own rig)

I think the first upgrade would be a new PSU. Firstly, because having some more wattage, maybe 600W would be fine, and fully modular, because it would help with the looks. Secondly, If you got something like a Corsair RM600, the 80+Gold will help a lot with power bills and be quieter and even more power efficient.

Also, a CPU Cooler, maybe an H80 or something to make things even quieter!

Just my thoughts and opinions!

Nice build! Really like it!

Just saw the picture with the CX600. You have the 430 listed? Just wondering what that was about! :D

definitely need a new graphics card, my XFX HD7770 cant keep up with my 2560x1440 monitor while playing on high setting anymore. Also, Advanced Warfare just came out and my friend has it (and a crappy $3500 alienware lol) and my card cant keep up with his gtx 685 (titan) and i really want two r9 280's (they're only $130 on newegg right now :0) and maybe it will be a fair fight next time......

For an upgrade on my computer, my storage drive (non SSD). 2TB just isn't enough for Plex server hosting duties (movies/music) along with gaming duties.

I only just built my PC about 1-2 weeks ago but the first thing I would upgrade would be my keyboard which is an old Dell one from 2002 and isn't really that good.

I'm guessing it's a parody of Super Smash Bros? I can't wait for the new one to come out.
