Update 26/3/2019 - I moved to 1440 gaming, upgraded to a 1080ti and PG279Q monitor for an additional £200. Worth evbery penny!
So after choosing the worst time possible to build a rig, I finally give to you my completed build:
I have been struggling on console with an elbow injury for several years and now I have finally got around to returning to the PCMR. The release of my main game Destiny/Destiny 2 being beautifully made for PC was a huge incentive but mainly the struggle with my elbow from controller usage. My theory was the resting position of using a desk and keyboard would be far more comfortable for my arm after a decent gaming session, so far this theory is working out, thankfully.
All parts used were a mixture of NEW/Refurbed via Amazon/eBay. Where I saved in area's I maybe overspent in others but due to the mining problem all parts came with a reasonably higher price tag, however I searched for the best prices possible before hitting that purchase button and overall I think I'm more than satisfied with the outcome.
My biggest problem during the build was finding a new desk to accommodate the new Dual Monitor setup + Tower and have the desired space to move the MnK. After searching for Extra wide/ long desk';s I decided it would be easier to build one myself, as a Welder/Fabricator I had that luxury and the resources to do so fairly cost effective (I paid nothing on materials and the labour was all myself, I only paid £100 for the paint job to be carried out).
After returning to the PC scene for the first time in over 10 years I was very scared to do anything. . . . Alas I proceeded to OC with the aid of friends in Overclockers UK and Shotgun Academy, two fantastic communities on Discord I have the privilege of being a member.
To my surprise my lovely wife was very encouraging when it came to the build and actually got involved with the changeover to PC when I suggested cleaning up the room before installing the new desk. Although, I have now somehow contracted myself into re-decorating the rest of the house . . .
I hope you enjoy the photo's of the project and support the time and effort I wandered into.
Also feel free to add me up on PC/PSN Epyrah on all platforms, Epyrah#2997 on Battle.NET

I built a PC, I called it Altered Carbon because it was what I was watching at the time and I altered some carbon in the form of welding the desk,
Thankyou for viewing/reading!
This thing is a champ! If you OC get some decent cooling, however getting voltages correct I've had my chip running at more than decent temps.
Fantastic purchase, my first experience of WC but glad I chose this, looks and works beautifully.
Easiest BIOS I've ever worked around, has more than enough features I could ever dream of using!
Does the job. . . Cleanest looking RAM available imo
Love the grey colour, chose this over the newer black 850 models mainly for aesthetics in my case (there is a lot of black and an 850 would have just merged into the case) Speed's are just fine
Bought this as a backup drive to just pile crap onto, shopped around for a good price and got a refurb for over half the price. Fantastic HDD
The only case I could use for my build, so clean, thought out design, classy. There's a reason so many use this case
Compact little PSU which was needed due to the cable extensions I had to cram into the PSU shroud. Nice and Quiet
My first real mechanical keyboard and probably my last. . . This thing is just perfect.
So many options . . . . My transition from my old SteelSeries Ikari to this has been extremely smooth
