Description

Kratos, the God of strength, power, and finesse. That about sums up this build. This was a build for running my dad's business, doing his quotes and invoices and working on his websites, along with doing my stuff such as CAD Inventor, gaming, and video production. This build is a long time project, I originally built this rig in January 2016 for about $600 as a Christmas project from my parents, but once I got a job I started adding onto this thing myself, (I was 14 at the time, 16 years old now). I finally completed this build a few days ago when I put everything in my beautiful 460X case. Once again over the summer of 2018, I upgraded the aesthetics of the build. Adding an RGB CPU Cooler, RGB Fans, and RGB RAM. The cable management is a little terrible I know, but overall I love this build and am very proud of myself, that being said I want you guys to roast the living crap out of it, as I want to know what I can improve on. Thank you for viewing!

Part Reviews

CPU

An icon in the CPU game. This processor has yet to be beaten by anything I do. Gaming, video editing, CAD, you name it. I put this bad boy under liquid and overclocked it to a stable 5.1 GHz. That being said, at 5.1 GHz, it is very, very hot. I had to de-lid the processor to get to 5.1, even then it was tough. This processor is a 4K gaming monster. I can play games like Battlefield, Fortnite, and any game in between WHILE streaming and not take a hit in performance. I did not think that my 4790k would ever be defeated. I was wrong.

CPU Cooler

Keeps my 8700k under 70c at 5.1 GHz!

Motherboard

A great budget motherboard. All of the features I needed, and it looks great!

Memory

Fast RAM with great aesthetics and speed. XMP profile works great. Cannot complain about this stuff.

Storage

I use this for my Windows OS, works great, no defects and really freakin' quick. Boots into the home screen in about 13 seconds.

Storage

Got this hard drive way back in January of 2016 when I originally built this computer, it hasn't failed me since and is actually pretty darn quiet for an SSD, great job Seagate.

Storage

I was looking for an HDD with insane space, because my case only had 2 bays, and this HDD checked all of the boxes, bought it on Newegg when it was 30% off, it's a little loud, but I really can't complain when its 5 freaking terabytes of storage in one 3.5 inch drive. I'm pretty set on storage for a while!

Case

The most beautiful case ive ever layed my eyes on. I saw this case back in May 2017 when scrolling through Corsairs website. This Christmas I finally went and bought it. As you can see in the pictures it sure does not disappoint. The Corsair LED strips (that sadly don't come with the case) really go well with this one. The glass is beautiful and the RGB fans bring it all together. My favorite case ever made.

Operating System

Yay, Windows 10.

Monitor

My first monitor and now my secondary monitor. Great IPS panel with vibrant colors. Acer really does well with monitors and I really hope this guy stays around for me.

Monitor

This monitor is a friggin' legend. The TN panel doesn't look as great as my IPS panel next to it, but can you really complain with 144Hz G-Sync? I will soon upgrade and have 2 of these same monitors. Got a great deal on it over Black Friday.

Keyboard

A great mechanical keyboard, the switches sound nice and crisp and Razer Synapse is amazing with customization. Highly recommend.

Mouse

Had to get the mouse to add to the RGB overload! Looks great next to my BlackWidow chroma.

Added to rig May 2017

Custom

Needed to show my lovely face to plebs. Gets the job done. Microphone quality is terrible though.

Holy **** is this awesome! But i have to tell you that is a little sad that you have to put your pc in the table like that, and not like a full-time Christmas-tree somewhere where everybody can admire it. I would as next step improve the table :)

Yes! My father is building a new home and this computer will be going in my room, as of right now it sits in the living room. I will be putting together a desk that can show off my build to its glory!

I love the 460x so much, it can take a build from a 6-5/10 to a sold 8/10 +1

No kidding, you should have seen the case I was using last time, Thermaltake Versa H25. It was alright and for $30 when I bought it I couldn't complain. Highly recommend this one!
