Description

This was my first ever build and overall I am very happy with it. I wanted to try and get as much much performance as I could out of my money. I didn't really care much about performance in anything else than games since gaming is everything I will be doing on this.

CPU- I got a 4590 as it was seemed like a very good value optimised gaming processor. I kinda wish it was possible possible to get a 4590k so I wouldn't have to step up to a 4690k for over clocking.

CPU Cooler- Im on the stock cpu cooler didn't bother getting an aftermarket one since I cant over clock. Future upgrade?

Ram- 8 GB it was very cheap where I bought it not much more to say.

Video Card- I put a lot of my builds money into this graphics card and it's great. It makes less noise than the stock cpu cooler and I managed to get a pretty good overclock eventhough I can probably get a higher one if I play around with it a bit more.

Storage- I was surprised by the speed of this hybrid drive. The system boots super fast, almost as fast as an ssd and it was only a few bucks more than a hard drive.

Case- It's an ok case. Pretty good build quality but limited fan mounts and stock fans. Had to add two extra fans to get some proper cooling. Cable managment was also kinda hard but considering I only payed about 40$ in retail i'd guess I have to sacrifise.

Power Supply- Dosen't make much noise and it powers the system fine.

Monitor- It looks great and it has some really nice slim bessels but it's only got vga and hdmi input? It's fine really but a bit odd.

Mouse- My mouse is very good, it's comfortable has some nice rgb lighting and I got it failry cheap in retail.

Keyboard- Does anyone know what brand this is? I got it in Asia for about 8 dollars and it feels like a mechanicel keyboard with red switches?

nice job but mixing ram provides bad results.

actually, it just brings about a chance of incompatibility afaik, and since his build works it's fine

I would've dropped the sound card and gone with a SSD/HDD combo instead of the Hybrid drive but that's just me.

Nice build overall! Would love to see some internals!

True...the onboard sound card is already very good but who cares...

Well I mean when you're on a budget or a lower budgeted build, spending money on something like a sound card makes no sense

Well I got the sound card mainly because of my headphones. They do give really good sound simply from my laptop and I wanted to get as high audio quality as I could now that I finally got something capable of powering them.

Good build. Very good perfmormance for the price. As dsegura90 said, shouldnt have gotten an Z97 board. Also please post some internal pics.

I would have gone with these instead if all you're doing is gaming. More pics of the inside would be great as well. +1

TigerDirect had a deal for a 4690k at $195. You missed out, man. Still, very very solid build. I don't know what you did on the memory, kits are cheaper and are validated to work better together, but +1 anyways.
