Description

So I've been wanting to build a gaming PC for a while and I wanted to go full out so here it is. Quite fun building it and took me a while since I've never really done it before. Had an old gaming laptop before which was outdated. I went with RGB everything mainly because of the multiple colors you can choose from, I like having single/double colored themes but at the moment I will be having the rainbow effects lol.

Earlier on I was going to go with the Floe Riing 360mm AIO from Thermaltake but last week NZXT announced their 360mm Kraken so it was a must have. I must admit it's quite a mess with cable management on the bottom of the case in front of the radiator but because I have so many controllers/hubs I wasn't sure what else I could do, might work on it a bit later though. Reason I have 2 mice is because I couldn't decide which one to get, so I got both lol.

Not really sure what else to say aha, but I'd be happy to answer any questions about the build. :)

Edit: Uploaded updated photos of the desktop. Before I had a bunch of cables between the NZXT Hue+ and the fan which was a mess but moved it all in the back along with the second NZXT Internal Hub which makes it look more neat.

Yeah when they announced it a couple weeks ago I went ahead and bought it and the rest of the parts. Considered the Floe Riing RGB but I always liked the Kraken series more.

How to you have the top fans mounted?

What do you mean exactly? They're pulling air out of the case if that's what you mean.

That’s all I needed! Thank you. Amazing name.

Why do you need 18.5 TB of storage?

I play a lot of games and nowadays their sizes are just increasing. I thought it may be overkill in size but eh, future proof as well I guess?

Now I gotta ask, how big is your Steam library?

Nearly 200 games, almost all being triple A title games lol

Oh wow and I only have 15, but I've heard some have like 3000 (not necessarily installed)

How are those Thermaltake fans? I want to buy some fans, but I am undecided between Corsair and Thermaltake.

Anyway, you build is so gorgeous!

The fans are superb, beautiful colors and being able to individually control the speed of each fan is very handy. Also each led can be customized in the different effects if you want to change them up a bit.

Edit: Also thank you :) I put some serious time and thinking into this build and which products I would choose in the final selection!

Corsair fans are awesome (I am a bit bias of corsair though lol)

What do you use this build for? You have quite a bit of storage. +1 for the pretty colors

Gaming, movies, music. Just all round media use. I have the storage mainly because of games being very large in size lately. Particularly Final Fantasy XV for example. I have a lot of games lol

What a gorgeous build you have there. Might I gain some clarity into that bag of redskins in the second picture? I would like to know specifically what size the bag of redskins are and where I can readily purchase them since they are always out of stock for me. I am not too familiar with that size of redskins and your advice would be greatly appreciated.

Did you buy the Hue+only for the kraken

The Kraken doesn't need the hue+, I have led strips going through the whole case which is what why I got the Hue+, to control them

Quick question! On your 360mm rad did you do push/pull or just one way? Trying to decide how I want to set mine up on my H150i pro

I just had them one way placed on the front of the rad

Are you controlling all of your RGB's thru one software? Or are you using Thermaltake software for the fans and NZXT for the strips? Just curious because I'm building something very similar to yours but with some Deepcool RGB fans and the ring fans that come with the case. Obviously I'm going to use the thermaltake controller to manage the riing fan colors and a different controller for the deepcool fans.

Thermaltake software for the fans, NZXT CAM for the Strips and Kraken x72. The riing fans that come with the case are not riing plus like the ones I'm showing, so they're actually different to the ones you get.

First off, this looks amazing. I'm currently in the process of selecting parts for an RGB build and I picked the View 71 as my case as well with the toughpower PSU. Does the RGB on the PSU have much of an effect? Also, I saw you bought 12 of the 120mm fans but from what I'm seeing on the specs, the max it can accept is 9. Did you get a spare set just in case? Did you go with the non RGB case since you were going to be changing from the 140mm to 120mm anyways and it was cheaper? I'm very tempted to go with 4 sticks of RAM vs 2 just because it looks so good in your build.

Hey mate, the RGB in the PSU stands out pretty well actually. Yes I bought 12 of the fans, 3 intake, 3 top exhaust, 1 back exhaust, 3 on the radiator that’s mounted on the inside right side of the case, and 1 on the floor of the case for intake with just 1 fan left over. And yes I went non RGB case because it was cheaper since I was using different fans anyway. And yeah I also went with 4 sticks of Ram because it just looks good, but having 32GB is still very handy since before when gaming it would reach 11GB usage and I like having a lot of headroom lol

How's your air pressure? Neg? Positive? Neutral? 3 front intakes, 3 exhaust top, 1 exhaust back, 3 exhaust side through rad and 1 intake bottom?

Yes that is exactly right
