Description

I suck at names, okay? This is my first build ever and it was built for games. Power supply is a Corsair HX850.

Nice, although personally I would've gone with an i5-3570k & 8GB of RAM if it were just for gaming, although if you're also doing some video/photo/CAD work then the X79 processor & 16GB of RAM will help. Good cable management too.

16GB of RAM isn't necessary but real nice to have. This is absolutely overkill, GTX 670 SLI is fairly amazing but isn't really recommended by most people, nice to see you taking an opportunity.

It's nice to give Minecraft like, 10gb of ram and blow up a ridiculous amount of TNT.

Haha. I'm gonna make a video of my new computer and test it by blowing up TNT.

Hey soon to be first time builder here, did you have any problem with sli GTX 670, when I google it there lot of horror stories about crashes etc.

My main PC before this (Conan-01) has a single 7870. The biggest hurdle, though fairly easy to adapt to, was getting used to the Nvidia control panel. Aside from that, I did find that turning SLI mode on or off sometimes resulted in black screens when using the latest beta drivers. I don't think I'm having trouble using the current non-beta drivers though.

Nice build, but why LGA 2011 and 16GB for gaming?

Unless you are using this build for other tasks like CAD and rendering, the choice of the CPU is redundant vs a cheaper 3570K

3570k is LGA1155. I wanted to go with LGA2011 for more PCIe lanes.

This has gotta be one of my favorites. Just because of how you balanced out the parts. I'm no expert of course, but I'm very much surprised on how you managed to get 2 GTX 670s with an i7 to only cost 1854 with all the other parts. Amazing build once again

How's the heat output and temps going with this? Also, love the build :D

What desk is that? I am looking for one that is large enough to hold three monitors.

16gb of ram is LGA2011 is un-needed for gaming. Overall, nice build. You got some nice cable management with the help of a good case.

I went with 2011 because it has more PCIe lanes.

The case is nice. The only issues I've had with it so far were some of the screws being ridiculously hard to unscrew the first time and I can't seem to get the LED on the back to work, though that's probably me doing something wrong.
