i7-6700K at 4.8Ghz stable, ~80 degrees under 100% load

Part Reviews

CPU

4.8 Ghz stable with the Corsair h100i v2.

CPU Cooler

4.8 Ghz stable with the Intel Core i7-6700k. Took a star off because no RGB special effects, only static color.

Motherboard

For this price you really can't complain, but I miss a USB 3.1 on the back..

Storage

Very fast. ~500MB/s read

Storage

3TB is a lot of space for $100.

Video Card

Glad I didn't get the FTW 1070 that explodes. 5/5 doesn't explode and would buy again

Case

I wonder if Corsair can cram a 5.25'' drive bay into this thing... There seems to be a lot of space in the PSU/HDD chamber

Power Supply

Supplies my i7-6700k with more than enough for a stable 4.8Ghz

Wireless Network Adapter

Supports 802.11ac which is the future of Wi-Fi, gigabit wi-fi here I come!

Monitor

An IPS panel for $170? HELL YEAH

Keyboard

Got it with an impulse purchase for $30 on a sale, no regrets

Mouse

Given to me for free, 5/5

Headphones

Given to me for free, beats the **** out of some 2.1 speakers.

Speakers

Sub is small and audio quality is not that good, but for $60 I really can't complain.

Food

Actually got the nacho cheese architecture, this chip allowed me to run Crysis in VR. 5/5 would eat again.

Food

Actually got the Intelli Coca-Cola i9-9900, the integrated NoVideo GrillForce 970 graphics allows me to run Fallout 4 on ultra at 4K 144fps. 3.5/4 would buy again.

lol, "3.5/4" clever reference you got there. Nice build as well, cable managment could be netter but you got that dank OC and a nice video csrd so you're set! :D

nice build. one ziptie does them all! jk.

that is an amazing OC at 4.8ghz. I have the same cpu/cooler combo and wondering what are your idle temps?

Also what is your voltage at 4.8ghz?

Glad you mentioned the explodeung Gtx 1070 ftw lol I requested some thermal pads just now , Thanks bro! Also what voltage are you at on your 6700k , I'm 1.28v for 4.5 but I just started the oc last night. The 6700k runs pretty cool , I idle at like 26 and get max temps of 72 on prime small ftt with a cheap hyper 212 I had left over from 2011 lol I put 2 corsair sp120 on it I had left over. I'm curious how high I can get the voltage till I hit 80 full load. Nice build btw!

I knew a guy who tried it and now his motherboard is sticky and smells like lemons. He tried to RMA it but asus wouldn't help him at all for whatever reason...

What type of PCI Express do the cool ranch doritos run on?

Tortilla Chips are the only ones using the nacho cheese architecture. It beats Intel's Core microarchitecture by a considerable margin.
