Description

Total cost/value of this build is $360.

How you may ask?

  • The CPU was free.

  • Cooler was 10 bucks; better than stock.

  • Asus board was priced incorrectly on Amazon; used the offered gift cert and got the board for 5$.

  • SSD was 55$.

  • Graphics card is a little old, but still VERY solid for gaming. Price error on Amazon 2 years ago, got it for 60$.

  • The tower was purchased yesterday (black Friday); 23.99 with 10% off since it was open box. Perfect condition.

  • PSU was also priced incorrectly on Amazon. Is valued at 70+, got it for $30

  • Windows 7 is free since im a student.

This machine runs really well, BF3 on high for optimal performance, League doesn't need much to run. The SSD really brings the speed out of this system.

Cable management is difficult in every case (no pun intended), it's simply a matter of spending the time and effort.

Wow...this is some good cable management even for a case that isn't build for it. +1 I've seen worse cable management even with cases with cable managing options. And also, we have the same motherboards :) yay!

So what do you do? Chuck the cables in the drive bays?

Did your brother upgrade to a better graphics card and leave the HD 7850 with you again?

Gorgeous cable management in the Core 1000. Great work.
