Description

Custom liquid cooled rig for all-purpose gaming and VR. First entry into the realm of liquid-cooled machines. Had a blast, despite the frustrations with bending tubing (you're an absolutely legend if you're skilled at doing so).

External cable management leaving much to be desired. Next on the to-do list.

Your build and set up is absolutely stunning! I am so jealous!! Also your cable management looks fine! I struggled so much to make mine somewhat presentable.

for future update, repaint the case to silver for a silver theme pc for that mobo and ram to match well

Hmm... that's an interesting direction, you have me thinking. Even if it was just silver accents to the case, it might couple well it. Thanks for the suggestion! :)

i too plan to repaint my nzxt h200 black to silver to match my z370-i strix and dominator plat ram + the evga gtx 1080 ftw gpu hahaha though i'm also thinking if i should just add some silver design(like a silver dragon and stuff) rather than painting it all silver

Yeah, I definitely lean more towards using a decal/design to supplement the design of the case and components; I've seen a couple of other builds that use decals that match their color schemes and it really makes the build pop.

Either way, you should share your build when it's done. I'm curious to see what you do with it.

Looks great to me but how much better do things run with 2 GPU's ?

Negligible for gaming unless the content supports SLI (a single 1080ti is a tank on its own). I'm intending to run VR titles in the near future, so the idea is to leverage the additional power for an improved experience.

That said, if any readers have any suggestions with regards to VR, I'd be happy to hear them. :)

wow looks great! did you use soft or hard tubing on the custom loop?

Thanks! It's PrimoChill's 1.5' hard tubing; went through quite a bit of it too, as part of the "learning experience".

dang, that sucks. in the end though it looks like you have done this before based on how good it looks :)

Oh no no, many tubes were harmed in the making of this build. We had purchased a couple of extra packs just to be safe (and boy, am I glad we did).

Hi how do you end up with choosing that motherboard over other models/brands? I'm new to pc building and the choices for motherboard are very confusing to me. Thanks!
