Description

My current junk rig! I plan to upgrade soon hopefully. Decent system for simple work I suppose.. For gaming I guess you could scrape right tightly by with it but uhhmm no... 12gb ram, 1tb storage, ddr3 system, dule 3.2ghz cores with 4 logic cores. This rig is playing games like gtav, skyrim SE, middle earth SoM, spintires mudrunner, bioshock 1 2 and infinite, beamng.drive, evolve stage 2, car mechanic sim 15, AC BF, farm sim 15, medieval engineers, mafia 2 and more, of course all settings have been tweaked to favor speed performance and more FPS's over quality... This is an odd board, ms 7613 ver 1.1 motherboard. ((EDIT~Added a picture of MSIAB GPU overclocked to cc1025/mc510 for 10-15 min))

Part Reviews

CPU

Good core, just out of style now i suppose. But it is able to play games like gtav, skyrim SE, farm sim 15, and middle-earth shadow of mordor in my system with 12gbram 2gbvram (all on low)

Storage

Had this one hard drive for 2 or 3 years now and it still works, little to no issues (probably my own fault anyway when clearing space). These hard drives are usually cheap but take slightly more time to load (ex: Loading screens in games) from what i can tell, this 1tb is worth it to me and im going to get more over time and would recommend this to my friends on any budget.

Video Card

Looking for a budget card to tightly scrape by? Well my GT 610 2gb was just that for me compared to my old gt 410 1gb. Major difference and this gt 610 2gb even plays games like gtav and skyrim SE (all on low), paired with my i5-650 3.2ghz dual-core.

Power Supply

No issues so far, had it for 2 or 3 years now. It came with my case from a local pc shop. I'd buy it for a friends budget build. just dont really like the ketchup and mustard wires too much, but this one I have has black braided jackets over them from the factory so it all blends really.

If I remember right it was around $40 or $50 USD at the time I bought the card. And do you mean the old 95 look? Yeah but I don't find myself staring at the task bar often enough to care if its blue or gray. And I'm just trying to get everything this rig will give. It functions great otherwise so I'm content with it for now. GTAV works minty enough to play online so I'm kinda impressed.

Had this rig for at least 2+ years so i cant complain, but I did think about it, and I'm still kinda thinking of getting a MSI DDR4 board and an I5 or I7 eventually.

Yes I had to cut the side out myself it was just a solid blank, JB welded a pane of real glass in place, used black tape to hide the scratch marks from cutting, added white and blue LED's but then removed the white and moved the blue around. The first picture is a couple of months ago when i first installed the glass and LED's. Second picture was when the JB weld was drying. And the 3rd picture I took this morning after added a custom mounted fan pointed at the gpu(couple weeks ago). And I just recently discovered the other side panel unscrews and has enough space to move wires around behind it, I was thinking of cutting a hole in front of the power supply so the wires don't have to do a 180 to a hole right next to the power supply then another 180 towards the front.

And yeah an SSD (goal was a 500GB or 1TB) was going to be the first part to buy towards building my new rig
