Description

We surprised my 10-year-old son with a killer system for Christmas. Given his age, it had to have RGB. He had been playing Minecraft, Roblox and Garry's Mod previously; a little Fortnite, but not much given his previous laptop could only offer 15-20fps at low settings. Needless to say, he was ecstatic to rediscover his favorites games. He's now enjoying Fortnite with his buddies (at 150fps+) and he's very proud to show his PC to his friends.

The 970 Evo ssd is beyond my expectations. This thing is so fast, I love it.

The Castle 240 RGB cooler was nice to setup and cools the CPU very efficiently. I bought it on Black Friday, and they included the Matrexx 55 case for free. It's an OK, no-frills case. The glass panel and front showcase the RGB nicely.

The monitor he had previously. It's only 60Hz: that'll be the next piece to upgrade.

Most expensive Christmas present I’ve ever gotten was $300 You are an amazing father... All I have is a broken windows 7 and a 3ds... Saving up for a basic pc rig tho. The fact that he uses this killer pc just to play roblox and fortnite makes me a little triggered... But whatever kudos to you

If it makes you feel a little better... He also plays Assassin's Creed Odyssey and Monster Hunter World now. Free games we got with the mobo and GPU.

Thanks. Looks great. Not a huge fan of the way the tubes for the AiO look since it seems to be a bit chunky for my liking, but its a very bright interior.

Do you just have to spend loads of money on fans to get them with bright LEDs and i don't really like using cheap magnetic strips. The magnets aren't that strong.

None. All the fans were added by me. The CPU cooler came with 2, and I bought a 3-pack on sale for the case.

I see you elected to have your water coolant hose turned to the rear of the case. Can the radiator be mounted with the hoses towards the front? Are they too short for that? Thx.

I'm not sure; I don't remember trying that.

Get your son a mousepad and a mechanical keyboard, because c'mon, such a beast build and a basic 8 dollar keyboard? Something doesn't add up here.

It all depends on the person, some dads are different than others when it comes to gaming
