290x Vapor X would suit this build very well, quite similar to a build in the planning.

Looks good, I'll give you an upvote or +1 or whatever they call it here. Are those headphones any good? I want to upgrade from a set of Razers and I want to see my choices in advance.

can attest to this, got the heat orange ones for my build and they're super comfortable for long wear, can retract the microphone so its not out when you dont want it. And i even tried it with glasses on still comfortable.

Siberia v2 is one of the best relatively cheap gaming headsets there is, sound quality is fantastic.

i had a set though and they weren't super comfy. ear cups are too shallow.

How is the mobo? I hear mixed reviews about Asrock mobos, but am keen on getting one, due to colour scheme compatibility. Nice build! :D

Not a good idea, get anything besides Asrock in my Experience, i have had 4 of there z77 boards fail on me, not sure if they have tightened quality control however.

I would suggest the MSI Z97 SLI as a blue alternative.

Problem with that MSI board is that it has a brown PCB so it looks horrible so it isn't really a great alternative if you were going for pure looks.

Asrock's new Z97 boards have been reviewed to be very good boards and it's possible your experience could of been unlucky or that they have improved their standards since then (like you said)

I have the H97 Pro4 and it works no problem, easy to use BIOS and it seems stable.

My h97 board has been working well for me, atleast... I've only been using it for going to 2 months now, no complexity either.

I currently have a z77 extreme 4, running solid and good. (Minor problem, splash screen stays up for 15 seconds, regardless of any option changing :c) But the new Asrock mobo's are very appealing to me because of the black PCB.

no gripes here, this is my second asrock and both have been fine.

haha, i was already at a point where i didn't like how much money i spent so going $20 a fan for like 6 fans was a no go :-P

Great pictures and build. I notice that case is getting more and more popular. Is it good and do you get good air flow because I saw someone's build here on pcpartpicker and they said that they had to remove the door. But I don't really know what the person was doing or maybe he was unlucky. +1

the front is solid, it draws air into the front fans thru the side and bottom which is like mesh. its very well built though, solid. a lot of room, very nicely wired and neat. good amount of room too. only bad thing is it doesnt come with drive bays so you either need an external cd drive or usb

If I were you, I would have added a NZXT Blue Sleeve CPU Cooler. It would have been a perfect addition
