Description

IT IS NOT DONE YET, I still have the case to get (using an old one for now). I will be uploading more pics =D I haven't build any pc for almost 5 years, my last build was a P5QC, Q9550, 9800GTX+, 4gb DDR2 800mhz. Yeah, a long time ago. Now I am almost done with this build, everything working fine, I love every part of it. This build will be used for rendering, video editting and gaming for sure =).

CPU: I was going to get the 4790k, but it was not available in my country, I could only find the 4770k which is also a great processor.

MB: It is overkill, but I dont care, ROG boards are my dream since my last build, now that I am older, I could afford it without any problems :p

RAM: G.skill memories are very good, it was a good choice.

SSD and HDD: both were a gift from someone, I love those gifts, specially the SSD, 500gb is very expensive but it helped a lot in the speed of the boot and windows.

GPU: I love this gpu, I can throw easily any game and run on ultra without carrying about the FPS or lag.

PSU: This psu was from the last build, it is not old yet and works perfectly, it is handling the build perfectly.

Cooler: Now I am using the stock cooler, no overclock for now.

OS: Also from the last build.

I have a question, should I update the bios of the MB? I currently have the 0401 bios, there is a 1002 bios available on the support.

Please comment =)

Really good build my friend! Thanks for the description or else i would beconfused on some parts. Again, very good work. Just wondering how that Psu can hold up against all taht power. Well, my goal computer uses 450 watts and it has a 780ti. Other than that, really good build.

Thank you for the comment, it is not done yet :p only the case remaining. I ask myself the same question, will the psu be strong for some time? I think it is a good psu and should last as I am not overclocking any part, I HOPE it lasts.

I think it's fine for now. But I would have gone with something like a 650 watt PSU. You still have enough wattage. But a little head room would be nice. As for the case I would recommend a Corsair 750D

As I mentioned, this psu is from my Q9550 build, if I was going to buy one, I would definitely go with a 650w+ psu. Probably will change to a CS650M, are they good? I will see this case.

It looks like its running itself to about 80% capacity, granted thats not a bad number, but when you have about 100 watts to spare its better just to get a new power supply at that point. Your BIOS should be fine unless you are running into issues. And a case is recommended, or a test bench, just something to make sure your parts are well protected and grounded. Wouldn't want anything happening to them

CPU+Mb and the HDD are using around 130w I think, maybe little more. The GPU can max out at 250w. I am probably using less than 450w. I think that the psu is holding the build well, specially during gaming I can easily hit 99% gpu load and some load on the cpu. Do you think I should get a bigger psu, 650w? I have an old case now as shows in the pic. Thank you

Why all the downvotes? But yeah, 650w should do fine. I didn't really get a good look at the case though, thought there was an absence of one, my bad

This is an old one, it is not the final case, I will buy a new one. What do you think about the CS650M?

Just be sure to monitor it, you are cutting it close.

should I monitor those +12, +3 and +5 voltages? They are all above with stable values
