Description

Hi this is my new build, well first build i am 13 and saved up for 2 years for the parts and am very happy with my choices I`ll go through my rationale behind each part of the tower

please leave feed back constructive criticism is fine and again thanks

CPU-I went with the 6600k because i knew i wanted skylake and best bang for buck gaming. I did not go with 6700k because A.not necessary for gaming and B.its alot of money in ireland for parts...

MOBO-i wanted something with good looks and that had features I needed, so the maximus viii gene fit the bill and also comes with additional features which i have not fully went into yet however. Yes I probably splurged on the motherboard

RAM-all i could afford to dedicate to ram it was the equivalent to $120 soooo ye did i day ireland is exspensive

GPU-simple..best performance for the price and cant wait till dx12 to possibly crossfire and have 16gb of vram but then again ill probably go with 980ti or a new pascal gpu by then

SSD-originally intended going all ssd storage and at $150 for 240gb that fell apart when i started to load my steam library ill end out picking up a 1 or 2 terabyte mass storage drive

CASE-this was the only case that really interested me and is aesthetically pleasing for me at the moment

PSU-i have a gs600 not g600 mine is 80+ bronze and it was lying around so i didnt have to buy it. I will definitely upgrade it in the future

if you got this far thanks for reading please leave feed back constructive criticism is fine and again thanks

Pretty sweet build for the money and only 13 years of age, not bad for your own "Built with my own two bare hands" PC! Oh, and just a heads up; getting a second R9 390 will not give you 16GB of VRAM, it will still only be 8GB ( https://youtu.be/Utv144XeHag?t=4m10s ) :( But it will still kick *** tho!

ye i know it wont give me 16 now but apparently with directx12 there will be support for vram stacking however it remains to be seen :)

DX12 has support for it and it's possible, but only if game developers include it in their game is when we will be able to stack VRAM in multi GPU configs. This whole VRAM stacking thing is so over hyped, it won't happen unless game devs step up their "Game" (Ha) Don't forget that GPU makers also have to create new drivers.

no problem :D

Like you say; AMD and Nvidia will have to devolp the technology for the stacking too work as well so we'll see when it happens i guess(but it would be pretty nice) :)

they would pretty much have to make all new drivers but it would be nice

Back in my day we were still on DDR2 ram... anyway great build, I would have gotten a cheaper mobo and more ram but it's your pc and that board is just gorgeous. Just a suggestion, turn the radiator so that the tubes are higher and it will show off your mobo/cpu cooler more. Great Build :)

Nice build!! I am also 13 yrs. I have built my PC it is a pretty good one. But YOURS on the other hand is a NICE PC. hopefully im a couple of months i will have a Skylake i7 6700k. But i am still debating on a 6600k or a 6700k. How is the 6600k going for you?

If gaming all you need is 6600 k allocate more to gpu and get a 6600k :D
