Rosewill Cullinan PX 9900k build

by SleepyWeasel

Built and upgraded over many years. This is primarily a gaming machine.

I really wanted to showcase the Cullinan PX since I had a really hard time finding any builds in this case before I bought it. I love the case, and I found it really nice to build in. The small size of this case while still allowing a full ATX build is really perfect, as I am a big fan of smaller form factor machines. The fit and finish and the overall quality is excellent, especially when considering the price. The cooling and airflow is awesome.

I am still waiting to upgrade the graphics card, eventually to either a 2080Ti or whatever replaces it if I don't upgrade before then. I really want to make full use of the beautiful CF791 monitor. I might also switch to a full custom cooling loop.

As is, this is a really strong setup, and more than enough for a very fast 1080p gaming experience. Fps is a little low at 1440p ultrawide on ultra settings in some of the newest games, limited by the 1070Ti, but still very playable.

Currently I have the 9900k overclocked to 5.0ghz @ 1.28v with no stability or cooling issues at all, temps max out at 80c, and average around 65c at full load. The 1070Ti is overclocked to 2021mhz and has been stable and cool so far. The memory is overclocked to 3000mhz. The MSI z390 Gaming Edge AC is an awesome board for the money and hasn't given me any issues at all with the overclock on the 9900k.

The Parts List shows a few possible compatibility issues, but I flagged them as incorrect, as I have built this setup and it all plays together perfectly fine. It seems to have some incorrect info about the Cullinan PX case.

Ive been looking to build a mini-itx build with purple lighting and this is AMAZING! Does the purple lighting make the white glow in the dark?

Very clean and organized. That case looks like one off of that popular Lian-Li case, in a good way. Are thos panels glass, or acrylic?

Why did you pair a 9900k with a 1070 TI? Should've gone with 1080 ti or 2080.

In the description, he says why. The build is being upgraded over time.
