Description

This build is used mainly for gaming, including VR (Oculus Rift). Built in 2 days once all parts were on hand. Overclocked and stabilized at 5.03GHz on 1.32v. Still having problems with getting Aura to work and one of the corsair SP fans is not lighting up, might need to RMA or return- tenporarily set in the back for exhaust fan. The corsair 570x is a gorgeous case! I decided on an SLI of two 1080s just so I can have the option to use one of the cards in another build, if there will be one in the next couple of years. Named it Hoodie’s Rig, after my 13-yo son’s nickname. Here it is.

Gorgeous build! And nice OC. Just wondering why with the beautiful founders cards you didnt buy an Nvidia sli bridge? +1

Because I did not plan on doing an SLI at first, but I already ordered the bridge and should be here in a couple of days.

Nice build. I see you gambled on a Amazon Warehouse part. I've gotten burned too many times by them.

As an employee for an Amazon fulfillment center. I can not recommend buying Amazon inspected PC components. All they do is look at the item with there eyes and see if it looks good. I had an 8700 come to me in a bag with broken pins and an "ok" in sharpie on the front. I looked at it and said "I'M not going to send that to someone" and damaged the item. The box had kicked out and came to me because it was under weight. (in a bag) what if it looked the same but was in the intel box? It would have when straight to the customer. Be careful with used good on Amazon. I like to be safe and get NEW.

I really don't get it with these people spending 4k+ on a pc when they don't even got a big enough table; proceeds to put it on desk, leading to less room..

What does the price of the PC have to do with the desk you put it on?

It's a so called gaming build, don't you need space for your mouse ?
