Description

I use the machine mainly for gaming and software use. Also used for school related projects. I have the processor overclocked from 4.0 GHz(stock) to 4.6 GHz along with an overclocked GPU! Plenty of case fans and cooling performance with the H60 liquid cooler. Also 2 1tb HHD's for game and file storage along with an 120GB SSD for fast OS boot and overall performance while navigating windows. PC runs any game above 60 frames at 1080p with no problems. I look forward to some beefy upgrades in the future. I also have a 3TB seagate external backup drive that is set to back up the entire pc once a week protecting it from any future downtime!

With Windows 10 installed, I love it.

What is going on with that cooler? It looks like it looks like the fan that should be on it is being a top exhaust.

Apart from that, nice build!

ps: Your ssd is wonky ;P

+1 for the race car. Can we get some temps from your CPU?

Pretty good, I would have made some changes, but everyone has their own options.

You have the same case, CPU, and SSD as the ones in my current build. Soul Mates?

Too much red!

I can negate the extreme amount of red to certainly say its very good for a first rig, and it does what it's supposed to do, +1 :P

you could have got a 2 gb gpu and save a lot of money (just my opinion)

That motherboard is ****. ASSRock cheaped out on the cooling, so the MOSFETs overheat. It also is known to fail under overclocks.

I have it.

I can't tell, was red the theme for this build?

Great build though, everything looks really nice. +1

I wonder how many builds on here have the same name as yours?

Lol, I was planning on using that exact case and motherboard in my build!

pretty nice just a note its normally much cheaper to get a 2TB hard drive over than 2 1TB hard drives

Finally, someone who isn't using a Samsung Evo 850 Pro as a crutch for SSD power. Though, you could've gone with a better one, maybe an OCZ Arc 100 or a Crucial MX200 for some better power under the hood (or case maybe?). Maybe for a few dollars more, you could've gone with a stronger GPU as well, but no need for that if you've already got 60+ frames on almost all games at 1080p. +1 for all those stickers too, I wish I had that many! XD

What's wrong with the Samsung 850 Evo? Too ubiquitous?

  • 3 points

Agree, just because it's popular doesn't mean anything. The 850 EVO is popular for a good instance. There are other things that are popular and shouldn't be, though. Corsair CX to name one.

850 Evo is everywhere but it is well deserved.

The SSD is extremely reliable and not prone to failure like other brands (OCZ im looking at you) and it performs as well if not better than more expensive SSD like the Kingston Savage.

And the price is often less than these other SSD.

Yeah, too ubiquitous and too expensive as far as price to performance goes.

Plus, i just really, REALLY hate Samsung and ANY of their goods. Their phones suck the biggest grip of *** I've ever seen.

Also for the price Sandisks have really nice SSD's for being around the price of Kingstons.

Yeah. Didn't Kingston swap out some of the hardware for their ssd's to where the ended up a lot slower than before?

Yup, no clue why though.

I think if you're going to go "race car" style, you may as well go big. lol
