Description

This is the evolution of my formerly posted build in the same case https://pcpartpicker.com/b/XWr6Mp This Case is still beautiful but flawed in its functionality. thermals are just not good enough for a powerful while silent setup with the limited radiator space. the plan was to swap the case and rebuild in a Caselabs Merlin S3. Then Caselabs went bust before I could get one and I haven't seen any Mini-ITX Case with at least 2x 240 radiator options for water cooling. So I tried to at least clean my current setup up a bit: Cable management was a mess with extensions, so I did all my cables with MDPC-X transparent wires (naked) custom - the lengths now fit. Didn't like the position of the pump/res with the EKWB-Bracket so I made my own bracket out of acrylic and put it on the floor of the case. Made a second bracket for a small 5-inch screen to show thermals inside the case - that one was a pain to mount. Added a Aquacomputer Quadro and two temp-sensors to fully control the fan-speeds in Aquasuite depending on water temperature and not on CPU-temperature as before in the BIOS. Re-did all the hard tubing for better aesthetics. So I am pleased with the looks but still not happy with the thermals/noise of this build. The GPU pulls more than 300W while gaming on my 4K-TV, water-temp rises to 45°C, GPU to the lower sixties and the fans have to ramp up to keep it from going higher. Any suggestions for a beautiful and more functional ITX-Case are welcome.

Ahh I know what it feels like trying to keep components cool in this case. I had the regular Shift and ended up switching cases because there isn't a real solution for them.

One thing you could look into is modifying the aluminum panels. I've seen quite a few clean hexagonal designs that improve airflow and still look classy.

Another option could be the Fractal Design Define Nano S. I believe it supports a 240mm rad up top and a 240mm rad in the front simultaneously. Don't quote me on that though.

Thank you! Actually thinking about a front panel mod. Have to find someone with a cnc tool

Hello! Please tell me about temperature your MB. I use this case and PCH temp rises above 60 degrees Celsius under load and MB - 50 degrees. What is your temperature?

Its in the low 30ies with the monoblock

This the best one I've seen so far. Definitely beautiful. Great job.
