Description

My first build was destroyed in a fire so build a new one with the insurance money.I will be using it for 1440p 144hz gaming. I am still need to get cablemod extensions. The reason for only having one ram stick is user error. I assembled this part list in less than 10 minutes and when I went to newegg to buy iy I accidentally bought a 1x16 stick. Later (in a long time from now) I will get a second module and have 32gb. I know I dont need that but no point in buying a 2x8 for the same price when I already have a 1x16.

Why not just return the RAM and purchase 2x8? Then go RGB to match the other components. As far as cables go, unless youre ordering custom, check out asiahorse! They are available on amazon for $30, I found them through a bitwit video and they are very nice for the price.

I will look at asiahorse. I did not return the ram because atm I have to many other things to do. I don't multi task much and so far I haven't noticed the difference between this and dual channel so I'm fine with this.

What case fan did you use?

For the top I used corsair LL 120s and for the front I used stock phanteks fans

Thanks! I'm doing my first build in a week, just waiting for the parts. With the same graphic card and case, but I was confusing with the case fans.

For the radiator, the Kraken X72. What RGB fans did you swap out with? Unless the X72 has stock RGB.

The X72 doesnt have stock RGB fans. I swapped the x72 fans with Corsair LL120s

Hey Bobby, I was looking at the same video card you have, but it’s pretty new video card with no user reviews about the product here, or on amazon or anywhere about it. How do you like the video card, would you suggest using it?

I like it very much, it has all the pros you'd expect, like better clocks ect. I have noticed however, if you download the asus gpu software it will not save whatever profile you put it on after a restart. This would be an issue its self but when you switch profiles it changes the rgb colors and you need to re open aura sync for the colors to return to normal.
