Description

Submitting this for a build competition known as SSB. The Superposition benches had to be run on a single card, bcause of my crap board, but that will be fixed shortly.

So, this has quite an interesting story, that I will sadly need to shorten, it started as a very stupid 1700x and crosshair with a 1050 ti and 8 gb of ram with no ssd build, then became a 1700x and hd 5770, then the same with 32 gb of ram, then no system, then this. So, I started this idiotic venture a year ago, with the 1700x system, but since then, a lot has changed, it all started with a cheap local threadripper listing, really it started with msrp vega but let's not get there, but it was a full 1920x system minus ram and gpu for $650, absolutely crazy at the time, so I was determined to get it, long story short I sold my 1700X system, and then that flopped hard when I desperately needed money, and in the meantime I had purchased my two cards, so now I have all this gpu, no money, and no cpu or mobo, so I just got to stare at them in an empty case for a while, while being about 2 months. Then I won a 2400G system nicknamed Electrobyte in a patreon giveaway, around the same time I got a phenom system with a crosshair iii, which I am still waiting on ram for, so I was doing pretty damn well, and still had 8 gb of vengeance lying around, so I threw that in the 2400G system and now that's what I'm running, waiting on ddr3 to run my phenom. WHY GO PHENOM FROM RYZEN? you ask, well, because my crosshair iii for my phenom supports 4 way crossfire, and this b350 board does not, so this will be updated with a slightly more appropriate v2. there's farrrrrr more to the story than what I've said here, but it would take too much time, thanks for considering my submission. PS. I hated the white leds on the cpu cooler fans, so I took my 295x2 stock fan and threw it on there. Also, I run all my fans, even the 3000 rpms, at max at all times for that super chill system (not chill with these cards) and for the epic jet sound it makes. Also, I had to jank a case mod to fit dual psus to power this monster of a system, it was quite fun, stupid, and hilarious. I also got the cards for a steal, $425 for one but it came with the v1000, and $350 for the other, pretty good deals.

Can we get this featured? Because this guy made the tubing and cables for the GPUs look good. +1

Your cable management is on point.

Waiting on more cables for the second card, I kinda snapped a comb in half but lined them up so it looked like to 8 pin combs rather than a broken 16 pin, thanks for the compliment, the tubes are a love it or hate it kinda thing, I had people telling me it looked like war of the worlds, then tentacle $&@? and then one person said a kraken, so I named it Red Kraken

I like them and I think the name is fitting(If this was a custom loop that would have been the perfect place for a pun)

As you said: Stupidly hilarious! Is there any graphics software you cannot run at high fps? xD I guess you are not using this with a single 1080p monitor xD

Uhhh yeah about that, exactly that, one 1080p display and a secondary 19” 720p 30 hz tv XD, that tv I have to run off the igpu, because I don’t have a necessary hdmi adapter for the cards yet

This is even more Frankenstein than my Dumpster Diver build.

My biggest concern with the 2400G is that it only has 8x PCI-E lanes. If possible, get rid of the Vulcan 8GB kit, get another Vengance LPX 8GB to have a matching pair, and upgrade to a 2600X and go straight for the cheapest X470 board with SLI support (cause that guarantees you x8/x8)

Guess what that vengeance is? OEM Samsung 2400 cl17 ram, it oced to 2933 cl14 like a champ and I threw my heatspreaders from my sold vengeance on there. Also I’m planning on just saving a little longer for a crosshair and a 1700X again, in the meantime I will be using a crosshair III/IV anytime I want to bench quadfire XD

lol love how its all red... then theirs just the little blue "Supreme FX X-Fi" nice build still, just switch out that 2400G soon, with this kinda budget you could get something a lot stronger, not that its a bad CPU or anything

Yeah nothing in the final system was bought new luckily, I spent like a total of maybe $900 on all this if you don’t include the money pit known as the first iteration with a 1700x and 1050 ti XD

Remember, I won a 2400G system in a giveaway, the drives I got used, the ssds were free from a friend, so I think it’s more dumb luck
