Description

I decided to go for an all out overkill over the top build. I have never been in a position to ever do such a build but since I had the chance I decided to do it right. below is mostly my complete list. It was really tough trying to keep track of all the watercooling fittings.

I have also a complete build video if you are interested in checking it out with the rest of my tech videos "Bakken Tech" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_IJzcBelu3U

That case is colossal! So much room for activities that it dwarfs the motherboard and 1080s

Yes yes it does. I had a lot of people asking me why I put a Micro motherboard in a 900D LOL

The cost of case fans alone in this build is about equal to the cost of my graphics card.....

+1 for money.

It was a collection of fans some of them are 3 years old :D

Hows the ROG swift, i think i'm going to buy it when i build my computer in a year or so and i want to know how it looks. Also i would like to point out that my wallet feels violated. +1

  • 1 point

I have the older model ROG Swift. This one is amazing and WAS definitely worth the money But the newer version just came out and it is an IPS model and is 165Hz for almost the same price. I recommend getting the model that just came out.

you got extremely lucky on the clearance for that monoblock lol. if it was a bit longer it would be interfering with the GPUs.

It was a tight fit, but it was just perfect no extra room for anything to go wrong

Nice! It's rare that you see a red/black build that actually looks good.

  • 2 points

Thank you, I originally wanted to go green on the color but I had a bunch of the red corsair fans already and couldn't justify spending more to change the color LOL

the mobo makes it look like Godzilla has a pea size brain here.

LOLZ

any plans to go big with the CPU?

the 10 cores is prob calling you

  • 1 point

LOL I really thought of getting the 6950x but at the time I had already started buying my parts and buy the time they came out I had already put my system together. Also if I got the I7 6950x I probably would be in a body bag and my wife claiming I fell down the stairs haha

  • 2 points

LMAO. No private stash?

  • 1 point

LOL not the private stash went to this build already especially when I kept telling my wife the 1080s were only $200 each haha She thinks I only spent $2000 maximum haha

  • 1 point

is she the one managing the funds?

hopefully she dont see your credit card bills and murder you

  • 1 point

She manages the main funds, but I have a separate account haha and I paid cash for it all. I have been saving for the rig on the side she just didn't know how much I saved haha

Damn! Nuts!

dont mind me asking, why did you go with those speakers? for 30 bucks more you could have gotten the z506's. got a set of the 506's and they put out audio. 1+

  • 1 point

Well I really thought of buying new ones but I usually have my plantronics gaming headphones on with a 2 year old I can't really have the sound up to loud without waking him up at night. I will get some decent ones in a year or so.

  • 2 points

This is a very powerful build..... definite overkill..... 2 gtx 1080s in sli while im working doubleshifts just to get one gtx 1070. i wanna do more to my pc now for no reason lol

  • 1 point

LOL This took years of saving/ selling older parts and telling my wife parts are for someone else and that a 1080 was only $200 haha

  • 2 points

Spent so much money on all the gear in the PC, should have went all out with a monitor? Acer predator next? Beautiful build though 10/10

  • 1 point

Thank you and you are right I actually should have waited because this Asus Swift that I have is 144hz TN panel the predator Z35 I think it was is the one I am looking at getting next.

OMG it does well to its name, it's only missing a nuclear power plant to be unstoppable haha.

Oh geez, 2 GTX 1080s! I see why it's called Godzilla...

  • 2 points

I'm gonna go with Holy F. ! The parts list couldn't fit in a damn phone book.

I can only say that it's great this was built once you had passed the 16 year-old mark. That's the real virginator, right there.

Kudos on the build choices, this is an epic build with a great looking setup! Well done!!

Such an incredible system....but that monitor setup is just cringe worthy.

  • 1 point

The desk setup has actual changed this week but I honestly have the monitor setup like that because when I edit videos I like to keep the files up top and drag them down. along with gaming I only game on the Asus Swift monitor and I use the top monitor to display stats like Temps and cheat engines LOL

Nice build! Is it loud?

  • 1 point

Yes it is quite loud but I am in the process of Replacing the bottom panel. I will be installing a couple fan controllers to turn them down a bit. And Thank you Here is a link to a video I just made showing the new bottom panel I will be replacing soon. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n7gfxc9F1hg

Sweet machine! In the pic of the three cases the first is a Core X9 and the last is the W100 with P100 correct? What is the middle one?

I thought my X9 was big but this is massive!

Curious, did you use a custom Bios OC on them? Think you could really up the score if you got some better clocks on the cards. Wouldn't touch the VRAM as there's no point on most games and certainly not Benches.

  • 1 point

No that was stock Bios +275 was the best I could do for the core clock which was 2188Mhz but it didn't do much for my score. whats funny is I clicked on your link thinking it was mine and I was like What?! I don't have 4x Titans! haha That is an awesome score man. I really want to add a 3rd 1080 just to get the score up with 3 cards but the funds are a bit low.

  • 1 point

Mmm, the support for it isn't there really with some games. Newer games it's being built into the Engine because of DX12/Vulkan etc. Honestly my wife has a dual 980 on water build. ( http://pcpartpicker.com/b/L9sJ7P ) and it runs so well I (almost) thought about going back to single monitor 2 card.

For the 29UM67 monitor, what kind of VESA mount did you use? I need one that can be tilted both left and right as well as up and down. Thanks.
