Description

Hi,

I fall in love with the Manta and this was the base for the build. Looking for a CPU, I met the new Ryzen series with more cores than I can imagine. The small 1060 3Go is the bottleneck of the build, but I've overkill the budget with the case and the overpriced mini-ITX motherboard. This will be the first upgrade. 16Go of Ram is surely a good base with only two memory slots and the wish of a working-station oriented build. Some video encoding and 3D modeling. A simple SSD is making the job nicely, I'll try a NVME when the price will drop. The trackball was choose for the small space on my desk and the retro touch.

I'm truly surprise by the power of the Ryzen, and specially the low temp in full load with the stock cooler. I get an old DVI 720P screen, so the 1060 3Go is enough to play a lot games in High, but is beat by the cpu for Blender rendering even with CUDA activated. The trackball is my master mouse and I get a optical wired mouse for gaming. The trackball is kind of strange the firsts minutes, but now I can't go back.

Hope that your comments will help me upgrade this build and be free to ask for more.

Great build! :D

The whole thing is very well rounded. The gpu is fine for almost everything anyway. Did you OC the the 1600?

Hi,

The EVGA is the SC edition, so I didn't overclocked it. I'm using an old 720P screen so most of the game are high.

but when I'm 3D rendering, my CPU is faster...
