Description

This is my first ever build with an AMD processor, and second with a Sapphire AMD graphics card (last one had HD6850 when it was mainstream). It was very difficult to come up with a theme and components, because where I live parts are hard to find. Since the beginning, my targets were to be able to play new games on 1080p 60+fps (no plans for 4K, 144MHz or Crossfire) and do some overclocking (I am not a big fan of overclocking but oh, well). My previous build was entirely white so I decided it is time for go for black (Friday).

After several weeks collecting all the parts (well not all of them, I am still to choose a LED strip) I went into assembling. It took me around 5 hours and it went smoothly, without any problems. Several notes:

  • I was pleasantly surprised how easy the CPU cooler install was, compared with the Hyper 212 EVO. So kudos to be quiet!

  • I did some fans rearrangements in the case. Placed the original 120mm from front-in to top-out and placed two new 140mm on the front for air intake.

  • Although, the case looks smaller when you install that big RX 580 NITRO+, it is a really nice case for cable management, I had no problems and did it the first time the way I wanted.

So after all, the build looks small, clean, almost all black, compact (but heavy!) and now I am a happy pc-builder.

Looks clean! Great job on the cable management! Hope that sapphire works out for you, ive been close to jumping to the AMD side of the fence for the GPU, haven't made the switch yet.

Nice, very nice. I used a Pure Rock for my build; big mistake, it can only be installed horizontally on an AM4 socket. Otherwise, I like the look.
