Description

Hello all, I would just like to say this is my first computer build and if you feel I did anything wrong or have any suggestions, please let me know. Anyways, I absolutely love this system. It runs all my games no lower than 40fps, which might sound bad to someone whose had a PC for years, but I am making the transition from being a console slave. Far Cry 3 is the most demanding game I play so far, hence the 40fps but games like Trials Evolution and DiRT 3 run way over 70fps. The fans hardly ever ramp up since I changed the configuration around, which is awesome. Now it doesn't sound like my system is going to launch through my roof like a rocket ship. I would highly recommend this build to anyone who is a first time builder and wants to save some money. As an additional project, I might sleeve some extensions to match my red and black theme.

February 2017 updates: computer is still the exact same just overclocked CPU and GPU

Nice build, even tho i'm not a fan of AMD but they do some very good CPU's for tight budgets. Can you tell me how much fps you get on some games because your build looks interesting. :) +1

Sorry for the ultra late comment, I hardly ever go on here now that it's finished. I play BF4 on High around 40-65FPS and Far Cry 3 around 40fps on high

Good choice with the CPU. I have the 4130 and knew immediately that I should have gone a touch higher with the 6300. Great management inside the case, it looks fantastic.

My eyes hurt now from the first picture man. Q_Q. But nice build! Is there only 3 fans in the PC? Is that enough for minimum airflow? Just a question from a beginner :P..

MUCH MORE THAN ENOUGH FOR A $500 BUILD!

Nice build! Only thing it needs is a new cpu cooler since the AMD ones sound like jet turbines!

Awesome stuff man

Believe it or not, it doesn't even speed up when you're playing a game. I thought about getting the Hyper 212 EVO but don't need it actually.

  • 1 point

Sooo pretty! You should put a be quiet! air cooler in that bizzitch. Nah, might be too expensive. You could always go with the 212 evo and call it a day!

What is the max amount of fans you can add to this case?

  • 1 point

You can add up to 6. 2 on top, 1 on the back, 1 on the bottom, and 2 in the front.

Great except for one thing, the fans are overpriced.

How do you find the motherboard? Is it easy to assemble on? I am struggling as to what parts to get for my computer, particularly the CPU. I want a gaming PC by the way.

  • 1 point

Well first you want to decide what form factor case you want. After you do that, it makes choosing a motherboard WAYYYYY easier. It is very easy to install, you just put standoffs on the case where the mobo will sit then put the motherboard on them and screw it down, very easy actually. For a CPU I would recommend the FX-6300 like I have, it works great and is pretty cheap.

Do you find that this video card and processor are good? I am using the exact same ones, and I want to know if they are worth getting. I dont require to have all the graphics at max, but medium in my games would at least be nice. Thanks.

Yes, these parts work great. I'm running BF4 on high at around 40-65FPS and on ultra around the same range but usually on the low end online. The processor is also great to, gets the job done.

Guys I just wanna say I'm really sorry about responding so late. I normally love interacting with people but I figured no one would look at this build. If you want to see updated pictures (did some major aesthetic improvements) check out my Instagram page "pcrepublic". No I'm not asking for followers, it's much easier to upload to Instagram versus here. I'll take the updated pictures soon when the sun is out :)

Yea I really wish I would have. I'm getting the NZXT S340 in white for my next build or just when I get tired of looking at this one lol

I should add I overclocked my graphics card about 13%.

Nice budget build. Also I'm planning to make my first build and I'm just wondering if when you buy the os do you get a disk or the product key for Windows

  • 2 points

Pretty sure you get a disk. Thing is all you really need is the key that comes with it. If he doesn't want a optical drive, you can still do it by just installing from a USB. Let me know if he wants to go that route and save some money and I'll tell you how to do it.

Wow! After 3 years, computers start to run slower.... great though!
