Built this for gaming a few months ago, was just too lazy to post this. But I'm running out of games in my Steam library so I figured I might as well.
Put it all together- booted up just fine. I'm very pleased with the performance though I wish I could have waited for the Radeon R9 series as I would have been able to get an R9 290 (non-x) for the same price. But it's not a big deal, this thing is a beast anyway.
Very rarely do I hear coil whine, and even when I do it's very quiet coil whine.
The cords are a lot less messy now, I would take a new photo but the computer is kind of in a difficult position under my desk, will update next time I re-paste my CPU.
The only problem I had really was that the GPU's performance would decrease after using a game/application for a few minutes. Turns out it was the card's TDP restriction kicking in. Turning the power slider in Catalyst to +20% fixed this, and I recommend anyone with an AMD card do this as well so long as their PSU can handle it even if they're not overclocking.
CPU is @4Ghz with MSI's OC Genie, perhaps one day I'll properly configure the overclock. Over Christmas break maybe?
Overall very satisfied, hoping to get a better PSU and a R9 280x Windforce for Crossfire in the future as well as one of those nifty Noctua coolers for better and cooler CPU overclocks.
