Description

This is my second PC build that I have done, first one was on my birthday three years ago (on my profile if anyone wants to compare). I think the build turned out amazing with the color theme and it looks really nice in my setup.

This was a sizable upgrade for me considering my old PC used a 6600k and only having 4 cores with not SMT or Hyper-threading was starting to become a bit of a drag in this day and age. The 2070 Super has been an amazing card for me so far as I have been playing Red Dead Redemption 2 with great settings and a decent frame rate considering how poorly optimized the game is for the PC. I love having 16 threads with the 3700x it really is as good as people were hyping it up to be.

(Did not close Discord in the fourth picture and did not feel like taking another picture so i drew over it lol)

Part Reviews

CPU

Amazing CPU. Does everything I need and more, no reason to get an Intel CPU imo

CPU Cooler

Cools great but requires a lot of force to install, made me feel like i was going to break something so i deducted a star because of that

Motherboard

Great motherboard with all the features of X570 and no RGB so an ultimate win imo

Storage

Not too expensive drive that I use for boot drive and works really well and is very fast

Storage

Cheap, fast, NVME SSD for game drive for me which is amazing

Case

Dedecuted one star bc a few standoffs were not lined up properly with everything else

Keyboard

perfect little keyboard

Mouse

its been around for a while for a reason; its one of the best

Headphones

can hurt ears sometimes after a few hours but that isnt a frequent occurance

Speakers

cheap and they work

I have the same case (but in black) and the same cooler (also in black) - do you find that the front fan touches the glass when you put it on? Mine does - it doesn’t seem to affect the performance so I left it on.

Mine is not touching the glass but it is incredibly close, I got it as low on the cooler as I could. But I don’t think that it would be a problem if it did

Do you think that front fan affects performance at all? Most videos on YouTube show that adding front fans make little to no difference. This case is designed to have negative pressure with only two case fans as exhaust on the rear.

I’m sure you’d be fine with out it, the fan is the middle is plenty but since mine fits might as well slap it on lol. Plus if you leave it off you can see RGB ram.

I was actually referring to the front case fans - have you tried with only the rear exhaust fans?

Oh okay my bad. I only put the one fan in the front because I had the CPU power cables already routed and I could not at all get them to bend enough out of the way to get the fan back top

Nice build +1. Looking to do something very similar - 3700x, 2070 super, h510, and noctua nh-d15. Did you encounter any issues with ram clearance? Looking to use this ram

I personally did not have any clearance issues but if the ram was a few mm taller I would have. You linked RGB trident ram, but it’s unlikely that you’d be able to see it anyways so maybe go for something a little cheaper with a lower profile and no RGB. For reference the Corsair LPX ram I’m using has a height of 31 mm. This is assuming you’re going to use two fans on the cooler, if not you shouldn’t have any problems with clearance at all

I have Corsair Vengeance LPX and using this cooler with two stock fans, the front fan is touching the front glass of the case.
