Description

My new mini ITX build case is fairly large , would be able fit full size parts , Difficult to find Phanteks in Red Added Lian-Li Red LED and decided go with Silverstone PS not my first choice fans is not hybrid does not turn off under light loads. Silverstone fan is more nosier for my tastes , only reason decide on PS option to install Silverstone Short cable system easy to route cables Updates : Change power supply to Seasonic X760 Gold much quieter PS under system load GPU run bit hotter than normal due to reviews case does not offer good air flow on GPU side. close to 70C with fans ramming up to 1500rpm , im surprise with GPU boost does not fluctuates stays constant under Firestrike loop for close to 2hrs. boosting on 1505mhz. Card itself is very well made with no flex or sagging compare with Asus GTX 1070 Strix edition compare with my Asus GTX Strix 1070 and MSI GTX Gamer 1070 jump up and down 1970mhz to 1910mhz Im very happy with this card adds focal point to my build , runs all games about 80 to 85 % for my 1070 EX under Tomb Raider setting on Ultimate

GTX 1070 Min : 79 fps Max : 120 fps Avg : 100.8 fps

GTX 980 Min: 65 fps Max: 97 fps Avg : 82 fps

using 2560 x 1440 monitor

Hi! I have your same case and the Noctua NHD14. However, I placed the second fan on the first radiator on the right, not on the case. On the case instead, I tried to install a Noctua NF-A14 PWM. But I ended up removing it because when I spinned the fan with my fingers, it touched the radiator a little. I didn't want to risk it. Do you think I still need a "pull" fan on the case? I don't know if I should send the NF-A14 back or get another one and replace with them the front fan included in the case. Would that make so much of a difference? Thanks for the advice! Nice build you have there ;)

Hi thanks for your comments, we have similar builds. My Asus Z97i 24 MB with 24 pin power connector will interfere with fan installed in front off first radiator . So i decided on installing as case fan option installed Noctua A14 140mm fan . Under full load durning testing 100% fans spinning close to 1100-1200rpm. temps are very low mid 60c . i do using Silverstone PS with option to install short cables. But to didn't like noisy fans I recently upgraded to Seasonic gold PS is very quite under light load fan doesn't turn on .If does is very quite, If you have Gigabyte MB location 24 pin connector is located upper side of board. Then i would installed fan on first rad. hexen862

Usually I don't like Asus, but that GTX 980 20th Anniversary Edition was a very special video card!

You can even sell it at a good price, if it is well preserved.

Congrats!

It has similar performance to RX 580 and GTX 1060, so you should be able to get around $200-$300 for it, condsidering it's a special edition and has an intact case.

Cheers.
