Description

Named after its many fans and blue colors, this rig was build for 3d rendering within a $1500 budget, though still preforms amazingly on games. At first the core kept overheating, but I discovered that the Gigabyte ga-z97x-udh3 cranks up the "Vcore" voltage. Press delete while booting up. I found the best temps/performance at 1.2 volts. Also note that Corsair link cannot be used in Ubuntu, the OS I am using, but the cooler still works like a charm. If you are rendering, I would definitely recommend getting a graphics card with 4GB video memory. I had to mount the fans for the cooler's radiator on top of the machine because the top of the motherboard was too big. t works great though. The back fan an the side fan are both outtake, the front fan is intake, and the top fans are intake. I love the look of the case, super cool. Good luck!

The amount of builds named "beast" is too damn high.

I'll indulge my creativity and conjure up a unique name. It seems like many people have seen "The Beast" before.

I'd recommend changing the name, as well as uploading steady pictures. It's not that hard to keep your hands still.

I couldn't help but laugh at your username, the irony lol.

I know, it's terrible. I made up the username a long time ago and stuck with it. Little did I know the hatred towards that word on this website. Oh well, nothing that I can really do about it now.

I'm with him for the price that you spent on that you could have gotten a 290 still a nice build

  • 1 point

Could have got a 980...

  • 1 point

Such a small difference both would be good and the price is much cheaper

  • 1 point

I know personally I would get two 970 rather than a 980.

  • 1 point

Well the Performance difference between the two is low that of course running Two GPU's of that card would run better

What do you have to say about that keyboard + mouse?

  • 1 point

I'm not the OP but I have to say, mechanical rulz

Membrane is ok but not the same. Get mechanical and you won't go back

I works amazingly well for the price. I think if I could go back, I would have gotten a slightly more sensitive mouse.

Well done; I guess all the downvoting must have been due to whatever name you had before? Oh well; I really like Neptune. One of my favorite parts of the suite of The Planets, too...

Hey, sorry, I haven't been on this site in forever. I actually don't game much, I do VFX with blender and Maya. The computer works very well, and I have discovered that render times are generally faster on linux.

I have a 2gb 760 and it works great. No reason to go higher unless one of the new cards goes on sale. You could have gotten stronger ram for the same price (2400mhz gskill), but your ram should work fine, Nice build!

why your fans are out of the case ?

  • 1 point

This was a long time ago but did you need a fan splitter?

  • 1 point

Are the fans that came with the case, 3 pins or 4 pins? I am also going with a very similiar build

  • 1 point

Actually this is horrible for gaming, unless your playing roblox or minecraft, or games from 2008 this can't run modern games. Due to the gt 760 I would suggest upgrading to the 1050 or 1030, if u r on a budget otherwise get the 1050ti or the 1060.
