Still waiting to be able to get the monitors, other than that, the build is complete as listed.
The build is nice and all but the FX-6300 would have been the better option. The dual core CPU is going to struggle in gaming.
Plus it would've gone a bit better with the case ^ haha
The i3 might not be better than the fx-6300 once overclocked, but it is still a very viable gaming CPU if you can find it for less than a fx-6300. The only games it doesn't do better are the few games that utilize more than 2 cores which isn't much right now. At stock, the i3 beats the fx-6300 and fx-8350 sometimes, which means it's at least as good as a fx-6300 in most situations.
Ya I'm just speaking in terms of games beginning to use more cores. Not a very future proof pc but if he's playing older games on it then sure it's great
i3 doesn't bottleneck with the 7870, i read somewhere that it won't affect any gaming performance.
only some games use more cores.
Some games and future games will utilize more cores. The i3 is a nice CPU I'm just saying for gaming now and future the higher end games are going to struggle on the computer.
well of course, you never know what's going to happen, maybe the i5-4670k could be out dated next year or 5 years.
I personally don't see the i5 being outdated that soon. It out performs an AMDs 8 core cpu in many areas
this is a what if
Not true unless your playing minecraft or some other older game from before 08.
No it doesnt help in games.
I feel like this was barely planned out.
Dual core, 7870 ghz and 3 1080p monitors? How does that work?
Without all the monitors the build comes out to about $700. At that price point you could have got a haswell i5 and a 7950: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/1I5qD
..My neck loves this..
Why 3 monitors on a budget build like yours..?
AMD case with Intel CPU...
Got any finished internal pics?
Downvote for lack of pics, description and cpu choice
Hey guys can we stop downvoting the posts we think we would do something different on, thanks.
Good build, but do some research next time as you could of gotten a 7950 for $200 and a FX-6300 which outperforms the i3-3240 for the same price.
