Description

I built this back in early December before the GPU prices skyrocketed. I was able to pick up my 1070 Ti for $480 at that point. The only thing I already had was the G502. Coming from a 7+ year old laptop running on an old i7 and GT 630m, this was an immense upgrade. The build itself was nerve-racking, but much quicker and simpler than I expected.

I have only done some light overclocking for now as I am not too familiar with voltages yet. My CPU temps are just estimates from memory as I have not kept as close an eye of them since I very rarely saw it go past 65 degrees. I kept a close eye on my GPU temps since I overclocked and was playing around with custom fan curves. I do wish I went with the s340 elite or H700i, but the p400 is still a fine case. Price without peripherals was around $1350. I picked up the headset, keyboard, speakers, monitor, and Noctua fans over the course of the next month or so after the build completed.

As of now, I mainly play PUBG but I do not ever drop below 94 FPS on max settings. I plan on picking up more games, but right now I'm just having a blast playing my old games without any issues. Next step, custom water loop!

Full disclaimer: I am not very creative. I saw the LED color scheme and wallpaper on reddit.

I really love the colors. I've tried several configurations trying to get those colors to look good in my own setup but have never been able to make it look as good as you did, especially on the keyboard. Great job!
