Description

Minimalist is what I was looking for on my first build. Also stay with black and white theme. I wanted to run PUBG and Battlefield on ultra settings.

I fell in love with this minimalist white case and I want to build a water-cooled system around it. Did a search here three weeks ago, rigid cooling with this case was none existence.

Time frame with this build was around three weeks and to be honest it did not cost me $3000. More like $2400 with monitor and keyboard mouse combo. I was able to source through different sites and couple visits to brick and mortar to find better pricings.

Although it runs extremely quite, its little warmer than I wanted it to. A 240mm radiator is sufficient IMHO but not efficient under load. A 280mm radiator is rated for this case but would change loop dynamics.

There is a lot of cleaning up to do still. Apologize for terrible pictures!

What I have learned: - Raid0 my 970 NVMEs. Dont do it. Buy a 500 NVME or 1TB. Cache better. - Dont buy a watercooled kit. My resevior lay sideway because I didnt have a choice. Base would not fit vertically. Would of liked it better if vertically. Easier to topoff.

Sebloostion 1 Build 1 point 7 months ago

Do you like the White Castle burgers?

shawnNG submitter 1 Build 1 point 7 months ago

YES! My girlfriend made a Nauschwanstein castle to put on top of the back plate. Terrible title :(

Sebloostion 1 Build 1 point 7 months ago

LOL

DustierDolphin 1 Build 1 point 7 months ago

A really good looking build I must say! But there is very little storage in there?

shawnNG submitter 1 Build 1 point 7 months ago

You're right. Will add a 1TB SSD. Wanted to use both slots of NVME for testing purpose.

x2NaTe2x 1 point 7 months ago

Beautiful build, add some more pictures. Detailed pics, including the wires in the back.

shawnNG submitter 1 Build 1 point 7 months ago

Thank you!

Nice build! i think you are the first person to do hardline watercooling with the h500, even though one of its features is being able to do so.

shawnNG submitter 1 Build 1 point 7 months ago

Wanted to see if it could be done. I think I was intended for CPU water cooling only and it is. 240mm isn't efficient for both GPU and CPU underload in PUBG or Battlefield. 280mm radiator would of been better suit.

This deserves more upvotes... and a feature +1

shawnNG submitter 1 Build 1 point 7 months ago

Thank you! My first build. I have a small corner of space. Wish I have more room for a better desk setup.

HungryCat2002 1 point 7 months ago

How’s the monitor?

shawnNG submitter 1 Build 1 point 7 months ago

Around $300 from Amazon Flash sale.

James_Bond_007 1 Build 1 point 7 months ago

Does that Omen monitor perform well for you??

shawnNG submitter 1 Build 1 point 7 months ago

Omen is awesome. G-Sync didn't really do anything from my perspective. I get more FPS having it disabled with PUBG.

FurryJackman 3 Builds 1 point 7 months ago

Why stop at 3 Thermaltake Riing RGB fans? I'm really hoping that rear exhaust also gets changed to a Riing fan!

shawnNG submitter 1 Build 1 point 7 months ago

To be honest, I work with what I got in the kit. Didn't put anything to waste or not need.

tinob20 1 point 7 months ago

hey, sweet build.! question: do you overclock both gpu n cpu ? im wondering if the 650w PSU can handle this setup overclocked. thanks!

shawnNG submitter 1 Build 2 points 7 months ago

Yes it can and I did. Would buy modular 750W Gold if I had to do it all over again. Not much different in price.

tinob20 1 point 7 months ago

Sweet, I got same PSU. I'll use it now.

TechTuberTV 1 Build 1 point 7 months ago

why not more monitors for all that juice, or do you just WANT 1 or NEED 1

shawnNG submitter 1 Build 2 points 7 months ago

Personally, would of rather get 34" ultrawide, 2k, 144hz monitor than two monitors. Either too much money or doesnt exist. The gap between two monitors is terrifying.

TechTuberTV 1 Build 1 point 7 months ago

What is your budget, I mean you could have gone for a bigger monitor though and overclock the refresh rate.

TechTuberTV 1 Build 1 point 7 months ago

What about a samsung 43 inch curved, or a 38 inch lg monitor, or a 34 inch acer monitor, or a 34 inch alienware, or 34 inch asus. Or maybe get a $300 4k TV up top. You don't have to, just suggesting. Beautiful PC +1

shawnNG submitter 1 Build 1 point 7 months ago

Budget was $500. Paid $350 for this one. 27" I think is a perfect size for gaming and productivity. Plus wanted to see what GSYNC has to offer. There is Asus PG348Q 2k gsync 100hz. But it costs way too much and refresh rate isn't too impressive.

TechTuberTV 1 Build 1 point 6 months ago

Do you want any suggestions?

shawnNG submitter 1 Build 1 point 6 months ago

Yes please!

Darth_Grinch 1 point 4 months ago

How much was the water cooling system?

shawnNG submitter 1 Build 1 point 3 months ago

It's a 240 Thermaltake kit. $299 on Amazon. I believe I paid $225 for it.

nicisdiz 1 point 3 months ago

Do you have a link to that wallpaper?

shawnNG submitter 1 Build 1 point 7 months ago

I'm a total newbie. Haven not win a game! System able to handle PUBG ultra at 100-110 FPS on 1440P with G-Sync off. IMO with G-Sync on, refresh rate doesn't feel as smooth.
