Description

What's up guys! I'm back, finally got around to building a Ryzen 5 1600 system for gaming and streaming.

You guys can check out my first Ryzen build here on PCPP btw

Anyway, since I had good results with the Ryzen 7 1700 build I decided to purchase a Ryzen 5 1600 CPU and do sort of a mid-range build with it. Got a little carried away with the price but overall I'm pleased with the results.

I made a build video on YouTube if you guys wanna check it out!

Also thanks to ASUS, Cooler Master and FSP for providing parts for the build!

Hey dude nice build, is there much benefit in having the water cooler, I'm thinking of making a very similar build, with 8gb of ram and just the stock cooler. just wondering if it's worth getting the extra cooler, thanks

I would personally ditch the stock cooler if you're looking to overclock to 3.8+ GHz just to keep the fan noise/temps down.

An AIO isn't really needed though, you'll be plenty fine with a decent mid-range air cooler

dude stock cooler also does fine but with an AIO you can overclock your cpu higher

Nice build man. How satisfied are you with that mothearboard? Do you have problems with booting time?

It's been working fine so far, no problems with overclocking or anything like that. The UEFI is a little basic compared to the Crosshair VI Hero board that I also own though

How is the 580 performing? On par with a 1060? I'm really thinking about buying that card since I just bought a 1600...

I recently ran some benchmarks with the 580 you can check out here > https://youtu.be/pdcg299g0yw

How do you like the AIO? Considering it in my current r5 1600 build

The pump is a little loud for my taste but no complaints otherwise, fans are quiet and it was easy to install.

hi dude a big like for it. though i got a question for the Mobo: does it have enough fan headers for all your fans or did you use fan spliter?

the only problem i see with this case is air flow has to be poor. With glass on the front.
